keef robin
Speedway was always marketed as March-October, now perhaps it should be June-August. How many peeps can afford 6 meetings in 2 weeks, away to Zummerzet and 5 meetings at The Abbey end of Aug, I know we won't be going to all. Only around 11 Thursday home meetings this year, must be around 21 Thursdays between April-Aug. Why not have meetings in September? And if our home meetings carry on as they have been, a trip to Somerset might take priority for some.
keef robin
What is really stupid is that we have all these long breaks now yet in July and Aug we have 15 meetings, if we have bad weather in those months it will be chaos. 9 of these at home, the league table very lopsided at present, with Swindon only ridden 3 home matches in the first 10 weeks of the season. Could shoot up table end of August, or be relegated.

SCB
Oh autocorrect! A nice shade of lilac with some plum coloured cushions perhaps? And obviously I agree with your/SCBs analysis on the averages. What's really shocking is we are less than 7 weeks away from the LAST date for changes and we still don't know what averages to apply to these riders If only someone who knew what they were doing was in charge of the SCB eh? Pretty sure Kings Lynn struggled to fit him in unless they make 2 changes.

keef robin
Sad to see the young local Purton lad Darryl Ritchings giving up the sport. Tunny would be a good signing.

Because the cut off date for the play-offs is the first week apparently. Also Colin Pratt was asked to do the fixture list with as many matches as possible during the school holidays. I still reckon SCB would do a better job.

waiheke1
Pretty sure Kings Lynn struggled to fit him in unless they make 2 changes.Straight swap for porsing would fitJust as aces could have brought in For Sedgeman. Really odd that Somerset didn't think he was worth keeping on a
MattK
These are my averages after last night: Jason Doyle (9.75) Nick Morris (8.98) David Bellego (7.35) Adam Ellis (3.80) Zach Wajtknecht (3.43) Bradley Wilson-Dean (3.38) Dany Gappmaier (2.80) 39.49 The only question is whether Dany will get a new average having ridden only two meetings or whether he will stay on 4 or get a new converted average. Makes no difference either way if he is the one to be replaced.

I assumed Gapmaier didn't ride because he was riding for Berwick, but when I looked up his score he wasn't even riding for them last night. So, take 2.80 off from that and add, say, 5.09 (just plucking a figure out the air there) you get 41.78. So, maybe it's lucky Ed Kennett got past Nick in the race of the night, and then Adam had a couple of poor rides late in the meeting after a really good start, including his "surprising" heat 15 nomination. hyabb17
Heat 15 does not count towards an average, only their 4 rides do. Edited June 16, 2017 by hyabb17

I recon you are spot on there, which is what I posted weeks ago as soon as Rohan left Zummerzet, and others have hoped and mentioned that they wanted Rohan back. Have checked Prem averages but they have not been updated yet. Edited June 16, 2017 by A ORLOV
