Zeistsport
As I understand it, the 50 points limit is for initial team building only! Once everyone has an actual 2017 average the limit will be lowered. Forget the idea that every team is going to have 6/7 points or more to redeclare with that just would not work!
MattK
If those two lineups MattK has suggested are typical of next years Premiercrap then I think my longstanding attendance of this once great sport will be over, insulting The points limit is just under 36 in "old money".

Even so, Doyle's average will drop by about 4 points so Swindon should have scope to improve once the averages come in. Despite having the best rider in the World, they will be very weak from 2-7, so will be low I suspect.

The main issue that I see is that the riders could well be strung out due to the standard of riders.

Yep. the much criticised format of the last few seasons could actually have been a good thing this season, as a side lack swindon could go top heavy with a couple of 2 pointers at reserve, who will only be competitive against other riders of a similar ilk.
SCB
Jason will not be averaging 10 per meeting, having come back from an injury, he might up his average after one or two months, think about it !!!!!!! Jason will get 10 with ease, he won't be riding against the top guys every heat now as he has done the last 2 seasons, he'll now be riding against what were second strings last year but in heat leader positions this year plus the likes of Sarjeant as second strings. He's going to piss over this league.
Anzum
Hopefully you are correct and our second heat leader brings a sick note so Jason can have an extra ride!

A ORLOV
Could anyone give me an update on the new stadium? There is a thread in the News and Discussion section. We were told work would start on Oct 28th, then that work was delayed a couple of weeks. One individual posted that someone had dug a few holes at the site. That is it. A ORLOV
I see from twitter that Rosco is giving a talk on Sam FM Swindon, whatever that is, about the plans for the new stadium. If anyone heard or hears it can they report what the latest news is, thanks
DunRobin
It was confirmed today by Mike Bowden, on Wiltshire Radio, that Swindon will start off the 2017 season at the Abbey Stadium. They will transfer to the new stadium at such time as it is finished. He confirmed that the old stadium can not be demolished until such time as the new stadium is finished. He has also confirmed that all teams will have to contain 2 Brits, although both of them do not have to be at reserve. Racing will be along the same lines as last season's PL format. He confirmed that riders who have both EL & Pl averages will ride on their PL average & El average only riders will have their average converted by multiplication of their EL average by 1.4.
SteveLyric2
Apart from the 'news' about the stadium and the fact that 'all teams' have to have 2 Brits, everything else was in the BSPA statement. As its the first time I've seen anything vaguely official about 2 Brits in each team, I wonder if the Brits will have a % reduction of their average?! Yes, that's a point, they always used to get a 2.5% reduction as I recall.

MattK
They did get a reduction but haven't for a few years now. I think the reduction is 2.5% for any rider who has ridden in the National League

Joe Beevers
Very tough to build a team around such a ridiculous average. Jason Doyle 13.69 I would guess Graczonek would join him and than a pick and mix of CL and NL riders. Possibly Erik Riss or Dmitri Berge? mudflaps
Very tough to build a team around such a ridiculous average. Jason Doyle 13.69 I agree how can anyone have an average above 12.00.... Typical BSPA Muppets.. should have been capped at 12.
