ouch
Posing is on 4.69. Maybe you were looking at the average with BP? I assumed Gapmaier didn't ride because he was riding for Berwick, but when I looked up his score he wasn't even riding for them last night. So, take 2.80 off from that and add, say, 5.09 (just plucking a figure out the air there) you get 41.78. So, maybe it's lucky Ed Kennett got past Nick in the race of the night, and then Adam had a couple of poor rides late in the meeting after a really good start, including his "surprising" heat 15 nomination. Swindon have form for this kind of thing. Maybe Robins fans should leave it 'til July/August before turning up knowing the team aren't trying. The play offs would claw back any shortfall. DunRobin
Correct, the official figures have just been updated on the bspa website. This gives the team 2.51 points spare, added to say 2.80 gives 5.31 points available for a replacement, or if 3.80 it gives 6.31 available. While these are the averages on the BSPA website, surely they are not the averages that will be used as Doylie's average of 9.75 is based on 10 rides whereas the rule states 4/4 not 4/6. As I read the rule they will have to use the 4/4 average & ignore the last 2 away scores. The same would be said for the other riders that have ridden 4/6. When will the BSPA change the averages for the 42 point limit as the present GSA shown is for the 52 point limit.

You do not expect the bspa to work that out do you DR but even if they did we lost the last two away meetings at KL and Wolves so it is likely the total points for the team would go down. DunRobin
You do not expect the bspa to work that out do you DR I see that they have issued an updated regulation that confirms the points limit of 42 to be used when the new averages are issued but no date as to when! Agreed, this is where they use the might of the bspa to come with guesstimated averages for those riders.
Paddy The Rebel
The averages I worked out were from 4h 4a. If gappmier is on his average that he's got so far then Swindon won't be able to bring tungate in,so must be calculated the other way for Swindon 4h 6a. Otherwise they couldn't sign tungate for gappmier. Edited June 16, 2017 by PTW

Gappmaier has far more potential for huge scores once he gets dialled in IMO.

MattK
Berwick's fixture was re-arranged, so we'd have got priority.
ouch
For Tungate to return you'll need your MC buddies to ok it. 16.3.3 A rider in a Team's declared 1 - 7 at the end of the previous season and not included in that Teams new seasons initial declaration may not be subsequently re-introduced into that Team without the express permission of the MC. Can't see it being a problem for you guys, other teams or team might find this kind of thing more difficult. Don't you just love this "sport" of ours? It seems, to me, that the quoted rule is to prevent a side holding a rider back in order to introduce him later. Tungate has since signed for Somerset and been released, which had nothing to do with Swindon, so there's no real reason for the MC not to allow such a move on the basis of that rule. I don't think they would ever block such a move, even to poor old much maligned Belle Vue Aces, unless there was a real suspicion of a side trying to pull a stroke.
EnglishRoundabout
Saw young Anders Rowe for the first time at Somerset on Friday. I know some of you guys have commented on him on the Swindon thread previously. He looked superb for a 15 year old and he reeled off a paid maximum. He has an accomplished 'arm chair' racing style with that so familiar high right elbow of our former legend.

Steve Shovlar
Nasty tangle just happened between Doyle and Meidzinski in heat 14 Torun/Gora. Meidzinski in ambulance conscious. Doyle in pits struggling with ankle on oxygen. Wish both riders well. Hope nothing broken. Definate ankle injury to Doyle. Doctor strapping it Doyle in pain. He didn't deserve this after last season. Hopefully precautionary. Edited June 18, 2017 by Steve Shovlar
