jeffster
I'm thinking of buying my tickets online for the meeting Swindon v Rye as they have to be printed out can anyone tell me how soon after purchase my email ticket will arrive? Thanks in advance for any advice About two minutes after you buy your ticket, I always buy my tickets this way, as it gives you a free programme, and you can enter through the portakabin that season ticket holders use
Najjer
Surely he can't be reassessed on the basis of two meetings? His "new" average is 4.89, which is ridiculous! You'd have thought he would revert to his previous average, before the multiplier was used.
DunRobin
You'd have thought he would revert to his previous average, before the multiplier was used. Nothing in the rule to say that's possible. The rule says average based on rides. It doesn't say this season but can't see how it can take old Elite season into the equation. Plus he's riding for Poole at present which seems to mean based on this season, if previous seasons are anything to go by.
Robbobee
I reckon riders who haven't ridden 4H / 4A should be re-assessed and given a mean average of their true average for matches ridden and their starting average applied to the non matches ridden .... eg : Zengota Ridden 2 matches - 9 Rides / 11 points scored = 4.89 Non Ridden 6 Matches - 24 Rides / 65 (65.46) assumed points scored = 10.91 as per starting average Assumed Total - 33 Rides / 76 points scored = 9.20 Kasprzak Ridden 4 matches - 18 rides / 29 points scored = 6.44 Non Ridden 4 matches - 16 Rides / 44 (44.32) assumed points scored - 11.08 as per starting average Assumed Total - 34 Rides / 73 points scored = 8.59 AND SO ON ...... Make any sense ? Must go an lie down now .....

Make any sense ? Must go an lie down now ..... Agree that this makes sense but the BSPA didn't see any logic & did not put it in the rules. As the rule is written if Poole let Zengi go now, any side could re-declare & get a new average for him based on 2 rides.
A ORLOV
Does anyone know what the team limits are for the revised average figures, is it 40 or 42?

Make any sense ? Must go an lie down now ..... Thats totally illogical and arbitrary. You may as well make up an average as have that figure from a statistical POV. The answer is to take last years average, multiply it by 1.4, divide by 50 and multiply by 42 (1.4 being the figure the BSPA used, 50 being the start points limit and 42 being break even) that would give KK an average of 9.31 and Zengotta would be a little lower on 9.
waiheke1
The whole thing is a shambles. Anyone with half a brain could see the issues for each of the last 4 seasons, and each season the bspa surpass themselves with their ineptitude. The only positive is that after this season everyone should have a "normal" average. Can anyone else see Poole redecorating with a side where kk is a 6.5, zengota a 4.9 Newman a 3.5 and a rider like lindback on a 7? Does anyone know what the team limits are for the revised average figures, is it 40 or 42?

A nice shade of lilac with some plum coloured cushions perhaps? And obviously I agree with your/SCBs analysis on the averages. What's really shocking is we are less than 7 weeks away from the LAST date for changes and we still don't know what averages to apply to these riders
A ORLOV
Fans need to attend tonight as apart from a Sprockets meeting next thurs there is two week break followed by another two week break for the team after tonight. Anyone who did not go to the Sprockets meeting might want to go to the next one as they missed a good meeting.
dump that clutch
talk about a dis-jointed season.. really hacked off with this at the moment... no wonder riders are struggling with consistency. Cock-up, pi$$ up in a brewery springs to mind regarding the relevant people in charge. There will be longer breaks A ORLOV with fans saying enough is enough. The only carrot being dangled for everyone is the 'hearsay' new stadium just round the corner. I reckon they'll be a new chippy and bookie where the 1st corner is soon

theblueboy
Seriously, is there any point moaning? Nothing has changed or will change. That is not a criticism of anyone here but more of the morons that run the sport in this country. As AO says there are 15 matches in 2 months. Why p*ss about starting the season in March when it can almost be condensed in to a two month period. This season, more than ever, has felt like the sport is on it's knees. Maybe the kindest thing, is for the sport to put itself out of its misery. Maybe that's why there is no rush for the new stadium. Osbourne realises people are disaffected with the sport and is waiting for the supporters to do his dirty work...
