MattK
Just looking at the averages and Zengota has come in on 10.91. Presumably, as he has only ridden two meetings for Poole, he won't get a new average when they are issued next week. Does this mean that Poole have stitched us up and one of our assets will effectively unusable?
SteveLyric2
If Poole redeclare then his average could be reassessed. In the meantime KK's 11.01 remains intact for a while yet.
MattK
Surely he can't be reassessed on the basis of two meetings? His "new" average is 4.89, which is ridiculous!

The trouble is Matt the bspa could, as they seem to make up the rules as each screw up comes to light.

They'll have to do something, otherwise you'll have some riders on new averages and some on old averages. Same applies to Gappy.

According to the rule, a new average can be imposed based on the rides this season when the new averages are issued which according to Rosco will be 16th. Zengi's average this season is 4.89 at present based on his 2 rides. Edited June 12, 2017 by DunRobin

DunRobin
I guess we only have a few days to wait until we find out! Don't forget, it's the BSPA, they always seem to find a different way of interpreting the rules. I remember going back about 4 seasons & a Polish rider whose name I can't remember was interesting a few clubs pre-season. They contacted the BSPA & were informed he would be an assessed 5 & so never signed him. Poole signed him & he was assessed as a 4. Say no more. Crazy robin
So should we expect each teams 1-7 to be awarded a revised average whether the individual riders have ridden the 4h 4a or not...... Let's hope all the riders get a new 'correct' average as the last thing the sport needs is more dodgy averages being handed out.
