Anzum
Looking at the fixtures we are missing 2 home league fixtures against Kings Lynn and Coventry and an Away fixture at Leicester. Also the National Trophy Group Matches took place early in the season last year. We would have 2 home matches to fit in. These plus the missing home league matches may well be in the April to May period.
keef robin
I doubt if the gaps in April and May are to allow construction work, would be financial suicide, still fixtures to fit in. The Robins could be bottom of the table early on with all the away matches!

THE DEAN MACHINE
Report on the new stadium from M Bowden http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/15044648._Stadium_is_going_to_plan___says_Bowden/?ref=mr&lp=7 a couple of points , it's winter what sort of weather were they expecting ?and I drive into the carpark last week and had a good look around and nothing is happening , they built a wall a few weeks ago but since then nothing , there is no workmen, no site office , nothing, perhaps they are hiding behind the houses and have a lookout so when someone turns up they all hide then start work when they have gone, when is the1st meeting on the new track supposed to be ? A ORLOV
With some very tough matches away aswell at home, they could well be pointless until end of May! With three of the toughest teams away, BV, Wolves and Rye House it may be a good opportunity to make team changes if necessary !!! uk_martin
a couple of points , it's winter what sort of weather were they expecting ? Colin Meredith, in the employ of Tony Mole, built the Perry Barr track in Birmingham between January and March 2007. It CAN be done if effort was to replace excuses. KevH
Colin Meredith, in the employ of Tony Mole, built the Perry Barr track in Birmingham between January and March 2007. It CAN be done if effort was to replace excuses. He may well have built the track in that time, but he had a stadium to build it in. I would suggest that building both a track and a stadium is a little more optimistic :/
A ORLOV
One slightly better decision this year is the start of the season being in April rather than March, so hopefully slightly warmer weather for the first meeting on April 6th. Just surprised there is no friendly practice meeting prior to the start of the main meetings. Edited January 25, 2017 by A ORLOV

Grachan
A new Robins Commercial team in place from today I see!! :-) Some very positive additions. Lee Kilby, in particular, is a great addition. The third generation of Kilby involvement and someone who has shown a degree of promotional flair in the past and has a genuine passion for the club. Steve Shovlar
Serious questions need to be asked about the new stadium. If everything is above board then the construction company will be able to say exactly when this kit form stadium is going to start to arrive. As it currently stands about one days work has taken place. These workman are there for no other purpose but to look like something is happening, when in reality they have move a few stones about with some metal railings. This kids no one.
