Swindon 2017

Recommended Posts

Well, after digesting what's on offer for 2017, the jury is still out for me.

A massive unknown for what's in store for us, but come March, these boys will be hungry for success.

Doyley, well, no brainer for me as he will be a big influence in the pits.

Big year for Nick as he really needs to up his consistency and come to the party.

Happy that Ellis has signed as he can go places if he continues his improvement.

The other 4 have question marks but let's see come March 2017.

We have to give them the stage to showcase their talents, and, you never know, with the carrot dangling with the new stadium, it might get the boys fired up so they don't get fired come the business end.

Emil to contact Killer and Brian Karger, his engine tuner, for any tips on the Swindon track. This shows he has a good approach and a bit of initiative

Not always, Killer used to go via the hot dog stall on the second bend, and still come out in front of riders from Poole :D

And he used to have extra onions and mustard.

Looking forward to the new season, good line-up and new stadium and bigger crowds. Good to see Swindon fans topped Ben Fund league for second year running. Would be worth lashing out for season ticket.

He also used to turn right on occasions.....normally when he was a mile in front!

Is Mikkel B Andersen coming in on a 4.00 average and if so why isn't it 4.00 X 1.4 which is 5.60 ?

Shame Justin Sedgeman hasn't got a place as he did a decent job for Swindon and only some poor scores late on knocked his average below six. His 7.60 average may seem a bit high but when you see Kyle Howarth, Kevin Wolbert and Matej Kus around the same mark it's the going rate next season but why have Swindon gone with Bellego instead of Sedgeman ?

Two questions if you Robins fans don't mind giving your views.

Guess Swindon have been told Andersen's assessed average is 4 or 5.

Happy to give Bellego a go rather than Sedgy.

They'd be happy to give anybody a go...

It's a watered down league with inflated averages so teams looks completely unbalanced. Personally I'm quite happy with the side put together, I think Doyley was a must, Ellis is coming on leaps & bounds & I don't buy into his average only being highly because he was a FTR, rode mainly at 2. Morris was a give me & he needs a big season & in the league as is I think he'll hold his avarage, he rode mostly at 3 or 5 so had no easy rides. He'll be at 5 & with the format back to the old ways I'm sure he'll be okay. Bellego was the bizarre one if any, perhaps could have used the points better but looking at other teams he's as good if not better as some out there....Charles Wight, Paul Starke, Jack Holder, Lasee Bjerre to name a few.

Our future is a bright one, best rider in the league bar none at 1, up & coming riders as support. Brand new facility on its way.....it's not a bad time to be a Robins fan IMO. Roll on April!!!

Well you wont finish bottom anymore after the Somerset team announcement tonight.

You've had a superb evening KKS haven't you? Popping onto all those different threads, gloating about Poole. For a supposed forum newcomer your posts are pretty provocative aren't they? Surely someone new to the forum doesn't gloat about their team, then start taking the p1ss over a newly assembled team? Occasionally you drop your guard though and people can see straight through you. You could t help mention your real team Peterborough on the Somerset thread though could you?

KKS was definetly not Gater 1 but PooleBolton is! Funny how he got caught out replying to himself on another log in and has vanished but this Bolton fella is spouting the same plop! Not sure about Daz. I'm not as suspicious as you!
