mikebv
Only Lakeside would go into a play meeting with R/R at no 1. and even better, give Scott plenty of practice last week....!
Steve0
They arnt? They said concentrating on Wolves vs Poole with "club coverage" of BV whatever that is!

foamfence
Terrible meeting, lakeside got everything they deserved for preparing this awful track like they did. Even their own riders can't ride it.
PHILIPRISING
Only Lakeside would go into a play meeting with R/R at no 1. WHO was available? And at least we had no guests in either meeting. They said concentrating on Wolves vs Poole with "club coverage" of BV whatever that is! THINK Sky believe the result is a foregone conclusion so won't be giving it the full coverage and cost of an outside broadcast. Presume a bit like the races they showed from the NSS last Bank Holiday Monday.  BV will be peeved if they don't get their £10,000 broadcast fee.
Crazy robin
WHO was available? And at least we had no guests in either meeting. Don't know Phil & maybe that was the reason but as a Lakeside fan I'd like to know who they tried?. Â Surely that isn't to much to ask?. Although not being on live should get a bigger crowd to the NSS...  Given the score maybe more than a few would have watched it on TV ? woofers
Well done to Belle Vue, commiserations to Lakeside, hoped they would run it closer. Â Same old arrogant Zagar, when he was No 1 at Eastbourne he thought he was beyond reproach - what a pillock !
NickRushbrook
Thing is, I know it was hard to get a replacement for AJ but any of the other play off teams would have found a way. Â We NEVER do and I had enough of the excuses. There's not enough ambition, simple as that. Â The promotion accepted their fate before a wheel was turned and are hiding behind bad luck. Â It's like we didn't even try to make the final.

SteveZodiac
Lots has been said about the Arena track but from watching on TV tonight the outside line seemed pretty deep and rough which didn't suit the home riders at all. Â Kennett couldn't carry out his favourite outside swoops and I lost count of the number of times Lawson lost points on the last lap. damosuzuki
I can kind of understand it tbh... Wolves Poole is much more up in the air and merits more attention IMO. I'm assuming club coverage is tapes up type of thing?
Loyal hammer
Well done to the Aces. They were and are the better team. I'm a little disappointed that man for man (probably bar Kerr) we didn't ride to our capabilities. Our shortage of heat winners tells the story. Â Surely that isn't to much to ask?. Who would you have gone for who would scored more than the 4 riders who took the rides ?
Steve Shovlar
Easy as I thought it would be. Going into a playoff semi without a number one and expecting your other riders to cover was foolhardy at best, and stingy at worst. Short changed theplayoffs Imo.
poole keith
apart from a few sports sky are trimming costs, sometimes quite drastically, new customers are hard to find simply because everybody who wants sky has already got it,theres also now significant competition from other providers and existing subsribers are getting p****d off with regular price hikes,so the bv match will be a single camera shot saving a load of dosh
marko
Just got through watching that back as I was working during the live broadcast, as always seems the case the track is siht (sic) whenever Hammers are in the play offs, i said rider replacement was a stupid concept and so it proved to be the case, just six points scored from it. Also it looked like the crowd was truly shocking, extremely poor advert for the sport as a whole, can't blame sky for saying F this, why should we cover the second leg, congratulations Belle Vue, you deserve it.
Daytripper
Why is the track so wet and greasy? Neither team look confident on it. Very poor racing wise so far Because Jon Cook thinks he knows more than the trackstaff. There has been good racing all season when he didn't interfere, now he puts his oar in and this happens. Inexcusable. Even more inenexcusable because he has interefered in the past and the team have suffered because of it.  Well done to Belle Vue though. Good team, good TM , kept the same 1-7 all season and didn't cheat . Especially well done to Scott who well and truly rolled the years back.  Well done to Lakeside as well though, after the Speedwáy Star pundits predicted a 7th place finish and most forum experts were saying 6th/7th place , so overall the team did better than most people thought. flagrag
The decision to not fully televise the Belle Vue vs Lakeside match was taken last week and was made by a combination of a technical difficulty and that its expected to be a large home win. Â It will also allow better and more in depth coverage of the Wolves vs Poole meeting. It will be better than the Belle Vue vs Poole on BH Monday Edited September 21, 2016 by flagrag
