Lakeside Vs Belle Vue, 21/9/16...

Ace no.5

Jon Cook has stated that they are considering 2 current EL riders. Surely you can't use the same guest home and away due to the 8-day rule - or does that not now apply in the play-offs?

KK and King would be the obvious options - with Bomber as an outside bet.

If the Hammers are on it it could be a tricky first leg for the Aces a potential banana skin and as we have seen any team can come to the NSS and do well. I certainly wont be counting my chickens. Also like to say i always enjoy my visits to Lakeside, ive seen some cracking racing our last meeting there being a prime case, also like the people there a friendly bunch.

I'd love to see Lakeside go on and win the league title this year, but realistically there's probably as much chance as Starry holding court with Stephen Hawkins as that happening.

Lakeside should keep the Aces honest on Monday, but can see an 8-10 point aggregate win for BV overall.

Ha ha your so funny, not. I would be happy just to see Lakey turn over BV.

If they do, they will do it to the same 1-7 that started the season. Pity your lot can't say that.

Got to be kk if he fits for both legs and if Lakeside really want to make an effort of doing the best they possibly can.

I woukd have said KK, who will at least have the incentive of wanting to see BV out of the way so Poole can meet Lakeside In the final.

KK at his best is a smart kookie around both Arena and BV assuming he has the right head on. The problem is KK can win races but he is not a team man in the way that AJ is, plus, of course, he is, as others have said somewhat hit and miss at times, but then again they nearly all are.

Thats the problem with broken bones isn't it. They tend to stop a rider from riding.

once or twice maybe would be believable, but something happens at Poole every year.

I think you'll find that most Aces fans are pleased that we are going into the play offs with the 7 riders who have got us there.

It is excellent that Belle Vue have managed to come through the season with the same 7 riders. Quite a rare thing to happen.

In Poole's case Watty just wasn't scoring anything. I don't know what really happened but think his personal life got in the way. Suprised he never managed to get his riding back and was just as bad if not worse at Leicester. Bjarne hasn't strengthened us from the Watty we expected to be with us this year.

Of course Hans got injured at the worst possible time and I don't think Lindback is going to just come in and bash in a few big scores. But rather him than guests to be honest. We could have gone horses for courses with Harris at Monmore and Tungate/King/ hougaard at BV.
