ray c
For example the 2013 playoff final vs Birmingham where the 1st leg was at Poole (not our choice!) but we took a 20 point lead there, which they couldn't recover from. All about having a psychological edge over your opponents even if that means having a decent lead going into the second leg.that was the year when the weather played havoc
waiheke1
Its also about revenue Lisa.Yes and by having the first leg at home you are guaranteed a good crowd. Win the first leg away, or cop a hiding, and crowd is likely to be reduced for a second leg match.
foreverblue
Will Woffy put it all on the line when he has a gp at the weekend? we know Chris Holder and Antonio Lindback will as they are not fighting for the title.
chris4gillian
Only cos he wants to go through in front of the home fans but if we get thrashed at Wolves no one would turn up to that anyway. Why do you bother Lisa? Logic and common sense are alien to him. Bearing in mind he says repeatedly that Matt Ford's door is always open and he posts like he's his best mate you'd have thought he would have spoken to him and have a full understanding of why we are at home first. In addition, Wolves cannot race on a Wednesday and that very basic thing is something which he can't grasp. Absolutely hilarious. I do feel sorry for the guy though as nobody can be so 'special' unless there's a good reason.
stevebrum
Yet another stupid post from Brum. Care to explain why it's stupid and what other posts are stupid? What is stupid is suggesting Wolves should ride on a night they don't have access to their track and also asking for a statement why. I'm happy to respect your opinion if you can explain what part is stupid. Thank you.

I think it's impossible to explain it to him ....Poole would not be able to ride on certain nights of the week just like most of the clubs in the uk ,..I think everyone understand that bar one person .

poole keith
wouldnt think matt ford knows starman,i know a lot of the guys at the track have the same opinion of starman as most bsf members
BWitcher
Starman can always ring Ladbrokes up,and ask them why it takes all day on Wednesday to clear all the dog s--t up from the previous nights meeting. Not sure that is the reason... they have the dogs on Monday afternoon don't forget! You think not. There's massive home advantage at Monmore. Does Starman actually realise that it's a two leg meeting and Poole will be racing at Monmore regardless? Beginning to wonder....

BobC
As i said previously Bjarne didn't ride at the weekend so i expect it was to cover him but has declared himself fit as has Kyle Newman so all good. Why would Matt want Tungate instead of a home rider, he couldn't have replaced Newman anyway and Bjarne is likely to score more than Tungate unless there was a possible fixture clash with another rider, there is no one in the team who i would want replaced by Tungate. He did ride over the weekend. He scored 5pts at Cloppenburg, winning his last ride! Just like to wish all riders of all the Play Off teams good hard and safe racing. May the best 2 teams reach the Final. Being a Poole fan since 1955, I do hope its the Pirates who win overall of course.
hyderd
Wolves are well capable of keeping the scores close at Wimbourne Rd before finishing the job at Wolverhampton. Aggregate score 93-88 to the Wolves.
LisaColette
Both teams are capable of doing that, it's what makes this SF hard to call compared to the boring other one

SUPERACE
This match can go either way, just as our semi v lakeside can go either way, but poole fans are scared stiff of wolves. They were desperate for swindon to beat Belle vue so that swindon got through and the Aces theb decided to take wolves rather than swindon again. That meeting was on the 17th so maybe he had a fall at Cloppenburg which is why he couldn't ride at Gniezno.
