Steve Shovlar
So Here we go! All roads lead to Wimborne Road next Wednesday for the first leg of the 2017 EL Playoff semi final. With Wolverhampton unable to run the first leg, Matt Ford has stepped in to help out and allowed Wolves to run the second leg. This meeting is one not to miss and will be an absolute thriller. With 4 of the top 8 GP riders in attendance the place is going to be packed out so get there early. Poole need to have a double figure lead to take to Monmore for the second leg. I have a feeling this is going to go down to the wire and be extremely close. Lets hope the weather stays fair and we are treated to a fantastic meeting. Teams. Poole. Holder Lindback Buckowski Newman Ellis Kurtz Pedersen Wolverhampton. Lindgren Woffinden Karlsson Thorsell Clegg Masters Howarth. R87
Cant see this being anywhere near close sadly. Very easy win for Poole.

Bagpuss
All too easy for Poole leaving Wolves far too much to do at Monmore. However we live in hope.
Bald Bloke
If Poole was replaced by a top Prem team it would be a good close league.Ask any supporter who the thinks Poole will be 2017 champs lol..But by money one team/person is way ahead of anyone else. Not good for the sport

We only lost by 6 last time and Klindt got zero, we also has r/r for Holder although i know its not his favourite track but he has had decent meetings there before and i remember Antonio going well there, on the down side last time woffy only had a couple of rides then withdrew so that won't happen again but overall i think we will be ok. LisaColette
But you thought Swindon would get a league point tonight FB! I say we need at least 12.
foreverblue
But you thought Swindon would get a league point tonight FB! I say we need at least 12. Well yes i thought they had the riders to get a point. I went to Wolverhampton and our riders performed well so i think we are capable of keeping it close, the times i have seen Woffy there he doesn't seem too comfortable on the track and may not be too happy with the Poole track either hopefully! stevebrum
Poole by 4. Common sense that Poole are riding the first leg on there usual race night. Mon the mighty Wolves.
Perton Wolf
Can't see us beating Poole over 2 legs. Don't think we've done too badly away there this season though and we've rarely had our first team 7.
waiheke1
woffinden now a second stringThat weakens wolves IMO.
Perton Wolf
That weakens wolves IMO. I agree - I'd rather have Woffinden at no5 with Thorsell and Masters back at numbers 3 and 4. They have a better reserve pairing, I would say that is the only difference, though likely to be enough to see them through by 4-6 over two legs. Poole by 10 for this one I reckon.
Bald Bloke
You might be right. But current world number 8 on a 7.
foreverblue
At least we won't be subject to the moaning about how Bjarne can be a reserve now he is a heat leader. I think this will help us with Ellis going well now.

Definitely weakens poole.
Perton Wolf
I think the only way the world champion can beat lindback is if holder has a bigger sulk than lindgren after his team brought a gp superstar in. Lindgren has been crap since the world champion turned up, will holder be as mardy? That's not wholly true - Lindgren has struggled around Monmore lately yes but has rode well at BV and Kings Lynns since then.
