Belle Vue Selling Season Ticket Holders Seats Again!

Here's another first season 'niggle' at the National Speedway Stadium. I was reading the Belle Vue Fans Forum today and came across these. I can see why this would p*ss off the folks concerned.

Lil ace perhaps you can help me seeing as you work in the ticket office i have rung B/vue twice and they said they would get back to me but never have.My problem is i am a season ticket holder and twice now they have sold my seat and i have had to sit elsewhere can you give me any idea how this is happening and is it an easy fix to stop it happening. Not to bad when there are free seats but if the semi is a sellout and it happens then it could be a major problem
P S has anyother season ticket holder had a problem.I have been a season ticket holder for years but after the problems i have had this year i will think twice about getting one next year.B/vue never seem to be able to sort out any problems. Re word that its not the problems that p me off its the fact the staff either can't or can't be arced to solve any problems.

POSTED BY SEASON TICKET HOLDER 2

On the 'National Speedway Opening Night - Tickets on Sale' thread I was interested to see the comments of BV72 for Lil_Ace's attention re: his season ticket.

BV 72 wrote: 'My problem is I am a season ticket holder and twice now they have sold my seat and I have had to sit elsewhere'.

I too am a season ticket holder and this has happened to me on THREE occasions (I'm in Block D) that my season ticket seat has been sold again. All was well until the Kings Lynn match on 24 August when four people appeared with tickets for the three seats alongside me and mine. No problem for the next match v Poole on 29 August, but for the match v Coventry on 2 September two people appeared with tickets for the seat next to me and my seat. After a visit to NSS Reception, two phone calls and several emails, Christine Simcock (the Website Manager amongst her other jobs) kindly dealt with the problem for me, but not before she asked if I'd mind moving seat for the Leicester match on 7 September as, again, four seats had been sold together with one of them being mine. Christine is checking for me again when the tickets go on sale for the Play-Off semi-final, but my fingers are crossed that all will be fine.

Did you get things sorted BV72?

I've also spoken to another supporter who has had the same problem in Block D. Whilst it has not been confirmed in anyway, he mentioned that he'd heard it was allegedly connected to the Coventry match on 2 September. That was originally the last scheduled regular Elite League home match of the season and, for some reason, Block D tickets were not on sale via the on-line sales (all the seats had been crossed through as unavailable including the season tickets seats). Then in mid-August Block D seats were all unblocked for sale, and it appears that this unblocking included the season tickets seats, and all became available for sale for the remaining matches from Kings Lynn onwards. (I know this first part to be true at least because I had family visiting for the weekend of 2 - 4 September, and I tried to get them tickets for the Coventry match in Block D as far back as June - but had to get them tickets in Block C because the on-line sales was showing none available in Block D).

Anyhow, it certainly seems to be a feasible explanation, but perhaps Lil_Ace could kindly use her position / contacts to throw some light as to whether there is any truth in this suggestion? And it would be interesting to know just how many season ticket holders have had similar problems - is it just a Block D problem or has it been happening elsewhere throughout the Grandstand?

Great headline, do you work for the Sun?

Clearly an admin error with the ticketing system, needs sorting but hardly worth your sensationalist reporting.

Nothing to see here.

Line 1 : NO.

Line 2 : Stating facts and quoting the concerns of these fans is hardly 'sensationalist'.

Line 3 : There certainly is. If there are, say, 150 - 200 season ticket holders in the 1900 seater Grandstand and these seats all 'sold twice' in a possible sell-out for the Lakeside semi-final, then I doubt the 300 - 400 people involved would agree with your observation that there is 'nothing to see here'.

I'm not sure how useful posting this on here is going to be but here goes...

Last week I noticed in trap 1 of the posh bogs that the bog roll on the holder was empty and nobody had swapped it with the full one on the cistern!

It's just one disaster after another at Belle Vue.

Just can't get the staff can you.cleaning companies need to be paid you know...

Oh yes there is!

If I was a season ticket holder and they were reselling my ticket I'd be furious! That in itself is bad enough, but having to sit somewhere else, that would have turned me in to the Tasmanian Devil!

The season ticket holder takes priority and numpties that allowed allowed that to happen need training or sacking!

That image is a wolf not a tasmanian devil

Just imagine turning up for a sell out and finding your seat had been sold to someone else, there would be trouble.

If it happened to me I would just call security to turf 'em out my seat. Simples!

Of course that's what you do, I had to do it Cardiff once too, people trying it on!!

I assumed Gregory had tried that. I certainly wouldn't accept being told to sit somewhere else!

Problem is with tickets.com the outsourced ticket provider and the issue is only with block D, the posh seats.

The Aces management are pushing for a resolution to the problem.

I think we should do it ourselves next year and then we can do away with the booking charges tickets.com want.

Thing is 'ouch' it isn't just block D. If you read the thread on the Belle Vue Fans Forum you'll see one of the guys called BV72 sits in Block C. Talking with my works hat on for the moment, this has real health & safety issues if more tickets are sold in an area than it is licensed to hold (fire risk etc) And also some of the duplicate tickets were sold at the ticket office as well as by the internet sales.

Can't understand why it was posted on here in the first place and fans of other clubs are commenting on it. It was posted on a Belle Vue forum, only 2 people have had this issue and the management have been made aware and are looking at the computer glitch.

Is it only 2 people though? Or only 2 people have complained online? Neither of whom are being nasty about judging by the tone of post, just wondering if there is a wider issue and concerned about implications for play offs?

Neither I or 5 others I know with season tickets have had any problem. I am sure Belle Vue will resolve it for these two supporters, as they have with other teething problems but in any event it will not be a full house for the semi final and season tickets don't cover the final.

Never mind the trivial matter of season tickets, has the bog roll been changed?

You'd better ask the cleaning company they use..
