orion
I guess lindback's helmet is likely to be bigger than most riders . Edited September 16, 2016 by orion
woofers
i have raised it with 3 ref,s this season and not one of then knew about the ruling,2 glasgow riders have done it all season just imagine if it got caught in a wheel !It's not as though the rules are difficult to find. Some are poorly worded, hence the constant wrangling on this forum, however on the whole the Regulations are clearly set out in defined sections. www.scbgb.co.uk/regulations or  www.britishspeedway.co/2016_regulations_final.pdf

Countershaftcounter
Yeh, im talking about hair. i meant the Poole bashers.... ok chaps, he's got long hair, we'll try moaning about that . If we can't get him on that i'll try the rule book to see if there's anything about "looking a bit foreign"
woofers
you're talking about hair FFS, talk about clutching at straws. Yeah, thanks for pointing that out.... Â What we are actually talking about is a rule regarding rider safety, (which we are told is paramount), whether it likely to be complied with and whose responsibility it is to uphold the rule. If it's a daft rule, scrap it, however, I strongly suspect that if Lindback was involved in an incident that resulted in his hair being caught in moving machinery parts it would be quite unpleasant and there would be a inquiry as to why rules weren't applied. (I think you'll find that rules relating to rear mudguard specifications were charged following nasty injuries to both David Norris and Jason Crump when their arms were caught between spinning rear wheels and rear mudguards)

The door is shut for other replacements and no other club has injury problems. Â Also, would Lindback have been enticed over here for the playoffs by any other club? He isca Poole assetband knows the setup and knows Matt. All things in Poole's favour when asking him to come.
orion
Lindback would never rode for anyone else as his average would not had been 7 for anyone else

BurntFaceMan
As I already stated earlier, the maths do suggest that 8 is not the correct average to bring a GP rider in on, and 7 is actually the more correct figure. Â What we need is transparency from the BSPA to confirm or deny this.

Give us some examples that would close 90% of UK tracks. For what it's worth, I am not at all one of the "angry mob". I know that no rules have been broken, an assessment has been made and whether I agree or disagree with it is irrelevant but I don't chose to get into 30 or so pages of debate as to whether the right call has been made. The question one or two of us are asking is - will a particular rule be broken or adhered to in future ? Personally I think it's a sensible rule, but maybe it will be thrown out or amended next year, after all the rule regarding the wearing of goggles was changed for this year..........could that possibly have had anything to do with circumstances in last years play off's ? Â What we need is transparency from the BSPA to confirm or deny this. 7.5 would have been reasonable. Also aligns with his Swedish average. 7.5 would not allow him to fit though. Note you argue tai has a false average. Would you say Bjarne s average was any less false? Former gp rider who has been a hl for all but last season, in on a 4. average? Which he has blown out of the water.

waiheke1
I would add that a rider with a current ekstraliga or elitseren average should come in on that. The EL heat format means that for a hl the standards are roughly comparable.
