Steve Shovlar
If NONE of the other clubs in the Play Offs promotions have any problem with the signing of Woffinden & Lindback lets just get on with it ! ..I am sure if anything wrong had been done the other clubs would be all over it like a rash .. In my opinion Woffy makes Wolfs a lot stronger ..but I think there is not a lot in it regarding Lindback ..... Just one question WHO will start the " Cheats Never Prosper thread " ? ( there is not a prize )Gavan has finally realised he was making a pillock of himself and quit the forum. Seriously the odds are in favour of the Poole knockers starting this thread because for Poole to win the title they have a massive task against Wolves, and if by some luck they get past that, they have Belle Vue who have beaten us three times out of four this season. So odds stacked that we will get that thread. Don't forget Poole fans, Adam Ellis is riding in the World U21 final second leg tonight and its live to watch at 6pm. BWitcher
The top 5's of Poole and Wolves are pretty evenly matches, the big advantage for Poole will be at reserve. The other key is it appears Holder is running into something like his best form whilst Lindgren is tailing off.

Bleeds Pirate Blue
@BWitcher I feel we have a difference of opinion due to inherent bias of clubs supported (especially me). I understand your point of view but don't whole-heartedly agree with it. I'd like common-sense to prevail and for British speedway to be run by people who don't allow such flagrant rule-bending and abuse year-in and year-out, which includes re-assessing Woffinden to a more representative average after his absence. Feel free to reply, but I feel we're just going to go round-and-round-and-round here...

I agree with most of what you say, but re-assessing a rider who has completed a full season very recently would just be making things far worse.
Joe Beevers
Lindback's last average was 4.15 at Belle Vue! He may still get this average this season. Nothing is easy even in this league. I would have said 7.50 would have been fair especially bringing in a British World Champion on a 7 average. To me, that makes more of a mockery of the sport than Antonio's signing, both legal or not. Think there isn't too much to complain about and glad to see another quality rider back in this country. You keep on about that but there is absolutely no reason for Woffinden to be reassessed as he hasn't been away long enough. I think, in reality, everyone knows that both clybs have landed on their feet this year with Woffinden's average and the one that Lindback has been reassessed at. But of the two it's only Lindback's average that is in any way dubious.
SCB
Lindback's last average was 4.15 at Belle Vue! It would have been had he rode one more meeting.. Except it wasn't. Don't let that get in the way of a good "fact" though.

B.V 72
The play offs are now i m o more about the money than the sport and with our sport run by the promoters i think they could be a little prone to bend the rules a little if they think a few big name riders will put more money into a clubs coffers and make sky sport a lot happier with the line ups etc. For me as every year passes there are more and more very ill thought out rules introduced more and more team manipulations and it is getting further and further away from the sport i once loved.I hope my mind set changes but i am sad to say for the first time in 44 years of watching speedway i am starting to see why a lot have fans have walked away. Bleeds Pirate Blue
@grachan It's just hiding behind the rules like Poole/Matt Ford get criticized for every year to say that. The very best rider in the world shouldn't be allowed to compete on a 7.03 average in a weakened Elite League. As long as the sport's governing body allows stuff like this to happen, the most ambitious promoters will continue to take advantage... If you want to stop Poole doing it every year, you have to stop everyone doing it.
ouch
In terms of Lindbäck's reassessed average it's spot on. Being a GP rider is totally irrelevant when giving riders assessed averages. It's all to do with how they've performed in foreign league competitions based on the previous season. In 2015 Lindbäck obtained a 7.58 average in the Elitserien. Lindbäck also only raced the Polish 2nd tier in 2015 with an 8.75 average. With those figures a 7.00 is the absolute maximum the BSPA could possibly give after being away from the British League for more than 3 years. The only thing that doesn't sit correct is if Hans Andersen rides in the Euro's on Saturday. If he does his injury status isn't season ending & long term, only then could & should Lindbäck's inclusion be contested. IMO, the press release from Poole is either premature or they know Hans isn't going to be available Saturday. Seems to make sense. Can you talk us through why Hancock came back in 2013 and used his 8.77 average that was achieved like Lindbacks in 2007?
ouch
Hands Andersen Isn't that Dakota Norths dads hand?? Looks familiar.

Wasn't asked to be re-assessed, like Wolves didn't ask Tai's to be re-assessed.
scottyfan
How did Lindback do at Wolves previously? Would still be a close 2 legs if indeed Poole face Wolves. His last meeting at Wolves for Belle Vue riding at No.1 in 2007 he scored 0,0,2,0 =2.His last two meetings for Poole in 2006 at wolves he scored 10+1 and 8+1. BurntFaceMan
Isn't that Dakota Norths dads hand?? Looks familiar. That's an interesting theory, I'll see if I can give you a hand... We'll need all hands on deck to figure this one out... Some more evidence would be handy... To be fair, I don't think I could handle this kind of investigation... I'll have to leave it in your capable hands...
