Poole Sign Lindback

Recommended Posts

That post from Hans was the most predictable one ever!

Of course he will have been instructed precisely what to say, sweetened with a nice cheque and perhaps the guarantee of a team place next year as well.

It's as if the south coast mafia think we all came off the same banana boat.

So Poole have helped Wolverhampton out of a problem then. No way would we take the first leg under normal circumstances.

what problem?

We haven't signed a ringer like Wolverhampton, who brought in Woffinden and removed a fit rider simply to strengthen up. We brought in a replacement for an injured rider who Fricke of Belle Vue speared, obviously not intentionally, but nevertheless did, causing us to loose our heat leader.

Simple as that. Webdidn't want to go into the playoffs with a rider carrying an injury so replaced him with one of our assets who hasn't ridden in the Uk for 9 seasons.

Its a huge gamble and a big ask for the lad as he will have no track knowldge but he can only do his best for us and we can't ask any more than that.

pure comedy gold.

So replacing Kylmakorpi with the world champion is fine?

You got double standards. Woffinden rode a season in a sulk for Wolves to get that average. A wc should be a 9.

Either bringing in 'ringers' is fine or it isn't seeing as both Poole and wolves have one.

Re-Assess Woffy to 9 and Lindback to a minimum 8 seems fair to me.

Tis but a scratch. Poole cheats!!!

That's his ring finger, not his clutch finger. And those 3 stitches are just for show!

A lot of people in our country who end up with a couple of broken fingers and a couple of stitches want a week off work and a week of light duties, yet because it's happened to a speedway rider they expect him to jump straight back into international racing.:t:

The big one where your club asked the Poole promotion if they could go second or they were in trouble, because Monmore is not available next Wednesday.

Convieniently...

Not bothered who wins league as I follow Poole as always liked Bjarne. I follow Belle Vue as they have Stevie Worrall and Richie Worrall but I think the signing of Lindback is a master stroke as after Nicki he is the rider I love to watch and well done Matt Ford. Can't knock the bloke for knowing the ins and outs and everything else he does whether it's legitimate or not as I had it for years with Ian Thomas and loved it

In terms of Lindbäck's reassessed average it's spot on.

Being a GP rider is totally irrelevant when giving riders assessed averages.

It's all to do with how they've performed in foreign league competitions based on the previous season.

In 2015 Lindbäck obtained a 7.58 average in the Elitserien.

Lindbäck also only raced the Polish 2nd tier in 2015 with an 8.75 average.

With those figures a 7.00 is the absolute maximum the BSPA could possibly give after being away from the British League for more than 3 years.

The only thing that doesn't sit correct is if Hans Andersen rides in the Euro's on Saturday.

If he does his injury status isn't season ending & long term, only then could & should Lindbäck's inclusion be contested.

IMO, the press release from Poole is either premature or they know Hans isn't going to be available Saturday.

So a 7.58 in elitseren. So a 7.5 in the EL would be understandable. But a 7 in an easier competition?

Time to stop the Ford bashing now.

He's brilliant, another masterstroke for the sport.

One only has to look how the sport in the UK has grown since Ford and Poole have risen to prominence...

I bet you get Starman agreeing with you 😅

It's not a big one. Wolves don't have access on a Wednesday anyway so shouldnt be a big issue at all so absolutely the right thing.

As for the question I asked..., would you be happy if Belle Vue signed Emil on a 7 or Dudek on 6.5 to replace Fricke? ..
