Berwick 2017 50th Year

Recommended Posts

In the 250cc European Final, Leon came 5th, Jason 10th and Jordan 16th. Leon had to win his last ride to get a run off for 3rd, but in the first running of Heat 20 got wiped out by a Polish rider. After about 10 minutes to recover, Leon did everything he could to win the rerun, but just missed out by the width of a tyre. Leon ended up with 11 points, Jason 6 points and Jordan 2. The final was won by Sweden's Phillip Hellstrom who after a 5 ride maximum in his Semi Final, again went unbeaten in the Final and deserved his win.

A very well done to all 3 lads!

He reckons he will be back riding in a few weeks

He is in the line up at Armadale a week on Friday in a Nl type open meeting so hopefully his injury is not too bad and back on the bike for it

Jacobs for Bridger, oh dear!

Jacobs for Bridger's average really, not for the rider himself.R/r for a rider with as low an average as Bridger is no good.Would be different if Bridger had ridden to his original average but that wasn't to be.Having been very critical of Havvy all season I think this is a pretty good decision (must have been a Courtney decision) and all the best of luck to Jacobs.

Best wishes to Liam Carr on a speedy track return after a crash at IOW last night. Seems there is nothing broken but plenty of bruising.

Odd happenings after the crash though, at first the referee excluded Kelsey Dugard as being the cause of the stoppage, only for Liam to admit the accident was his fault and the referee changed his mind and excluded Liam.

Seems like fair respectful sportsmanship, fair play to him!

Certainly on his way to turning things round and getting back to the form we know he is capable of. Hopefully hr continues this form for the rest of the season and he comes back into Championship racing for 2018, though if he keeps this form up we are likely to see him in the Championship before that.

Your right screm he is back at Peterborough albeit short term till Lambert's back.

Any rider who can only score 7 points from 15 rides over 4 meetings in this case 3 home and 1 away, should never believe there position is safe. Richard Hall had is chance and just didn't do the business.
