screm Posted May 9, 2017 Report Share Posted May 9, 2017 Don't know what all the fuss is about, not exactly strengthened the team, Howe and Morris are only like for like with Vissing and Berge, and Etheridge weakens the team at No 2, Payne is not a massive step up either. No fuss, Berwick`s team including Howe is perfectly legal, Gappmaier has not yet completed 4h 4a and so doesn't yet qualify for a proper average so stays on an assessed average. It wasn't Berwick who decided to do away with rolling averages and its hardly Berwick`s fault that the meeting at Ipswich was rained off so Carr leaves with Howe coming in. Seems the Ipswich fans etc have quietened down since they have done the same thing (Signed Nathan Greaves who has a 2.27 Premiership average for a rider who has a 2.00 average in the Championship). It is also 2.27 in the higher league so a conversion factor needs to be applied. As I have said before all teams look to get the biggest advantage they can from the rules. Look at the season to date averages and what Danyon had averaged from his 7 meetings....
