Normski
Why would Berwick Rangers need a 4000 seat stadium when there average gate is 400.Also if results don't pick up they could be in a lower league next season. I'm sure there is some kind of bylaw that Shielfield has to be used for sports only.

Not a By-Law Norm, a covenant placed on the whole site by the late Shiel Dods, that it could only be used for sport. However covenants are no longer hard to get rid of. For those who think that Berwick Councilors are on the side of speedway, think again, it must be said that Berwick Town Councillors have no say in planning matters, it is Northumberland County Council who have jurisdiction over that. I hear Liam has3 Polish engines for this year Sure he hasn't polished 3 engines  If so hope they are not from source that Theo Pjipers came from, which were bog standard GMs that had to be tuned properly ,before they could be used competitively. screm
Councillors would never force speedway out of Berwick as it brings visitors to the town for FIM events and also because they'd face being voted out if they didnt publicly support Bandits. Any redevelopment would need to include a future for speedway. Â Your not serious.....are you.

One was a flier, but only after Theos tuner had tuned to a the standard he needed, unless of course Theo told me porky pies, which I doubt. tweedcider
Won't happen anytime soon. Funding in place now, so hard to see why not. Â For the past dozen years or so, it has been will we or won't we run every year - you can see why plans for a new stadium with a 50 year life isn't built around a Speedway track that may not be wanted by the time the stadium is complete. Â Makes the case for moving the club out to Duns all the more convincing.

crescent girl
The club has invited all staff to a pre-season meeting at the Black and Gold on Sunday 29th January at 6.30pm.  Co-promoter Dennis McCleary says: “Could stadium Stewards and regular First Aiders come along as well, please?  “This will enable the club to sort necessary paperwork, etc ahead of the new season".  SCB-registered officials should note that, If paperwork is to hand for 2017 from the authorities, this will also be available to complete that night. Tardis
I hear that the team are going to be wearing team race suites this year nice touch but it would have been better if they had got them made by an ex rider who put his life on the line for this sport and the Bandits, Adrian Rymel, instead they are going for a cheaper option, mind cheaper not always better
