Berwick 2017 50th Year

I agree Taffy, I think this is quite an interesting lineup.

I'm really excited to Bridge in the PL, I always thought he would benefit from riding at this level.

Your comment about Liam is spot on.

What a lot of people forget, he was a completely different rider last season. Much faster, much more aggressive, and a lot more confident.

Liam's progress had a lot to do with Kev as mentor to him, helped by a keenness in wanting to improve, he listened and he learned. Next season will show whether it paid off. Bridger is a rider who will either be brilliant or not, I have a feeling the former, I am hoping he has something to prove, always believed in Dimitri, we should have signed him when we had the chance, however the youngster is out of him now, and that might be to our benefit, hoping Vissing is the one we had first time around last season he seemed to lack something, again this guy has something to prove. Any one of these could be a No1

Again I agree with all you said there also if they can generate a good team spirit that can make the difference

My hope now lies in sorting out the track, Berwick used to have a very fast race track with a fear factor, 'FORTRESS SHIELFIELD'.rideres dreaded the place from visiting teams. A big racers circuit, that has generated into a 'GATE & GO TRACK'. In the last 8 seasons we have seen flashes of how it could be, just using the 'Under 21 Championship event' as an example, some of the best racing I have seen at Shielfield, followed the following week with one of the worst prepared track in a long time, how a track can go from brilliant to bust in a week havn't got a clue. It is my hope that the new management with their knowledge of speedway can deliver on a great track, possibly the best.

Doesn't help when you only have access to the track after the Rangers people have vacated during the football season

Two words bell end

Not a very nice comment to someone who obviously has a different opinion to you. Maybe, just maybe, Pogo1 will be proved right, I like the look of the Berwick team, is it a league winning or play off qualifying team, I dont know as all the other teams are not complete yet but on paper at least this is as strong a team as we`ve had at Berwick for some time.

All the teams this year will poorer at the start of the season due to the 40 point limit i am just pleased to have speedway for definite next season who knows how well the team will do,it all depends on who can up their averages most and have least injuries never seen our number 1 or number 7 ride but am pleased with the other 5 hope they pair Kev with Liam looking forward to see him keep uping his average.Roll on March hope Coty gets fixed up.

Jeez oh, I come on and give an honest opinion on how I think the Berwick team is for 2017 and I get verbally attacked for doing so!

When the Glasgow team is complete I fully expect people to comment on it too, is that not what a forum is all about?

You are entitled to your opinion as anyone else on here, you didn't deserve to be verbally abused, something I think you will find is against forum rules. Anyway I normally find when someone turns abusive against you it tends to mean you`ve won the argument.

Total access Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Sunday unless there is a footy game on. Access is allowed on Saturday up until 12 noon, as long as they don't render the track area unusable for the football.

Lucky Berwick, wish we had similar access, instead of 'just Sunday and nowt else'.
