Berwick 2017 50th Year

Recommended Posts

I never get the expectancy with Shuttleworth. He has been a 6 - 6.5 point NL rider for the past few seasons without showing any real improvement and not running in any of the tricky positions. Even for a cheap northern based rider there must be better options.

Not that I can think of, realistically someone like Bacon would be a lot better obviously

Elaborate

I've seen enough of Bellego around Berwick as well. I'd much rather see a fresh face than him.

He was too inconsistent in his time at Berwick and despite a good run last season I wouldn't have him anywhere near my team on his average.

I always thought Bridger should have spent a season on the PL.
I think he will turn out to be once of the league's strongest Number 1s.

Very surprised to see him as one of our first riders- very pleasantly surprised!

I think it shows an intention for the season ahead.

Doolan is Berwick through-and-through and a great Captain.

Liam Carr came on massively last season and well deserving of his place.

Massive Gamble on his average is Bridger, doubt he will hold that average.

Doolan is a steady 7 point man, no great shakes but a great team man

Carr was very impressive every time i saw him last season, best signing of the 3 imo and by some distance. Hes made massive strides in a year and really hope it continues for him.

Delighted with the Bridger signing, he is capable of being the out and out No1 some have called for, if he still has the same tie up with JRM then his equipment will be top notch, he is a true professional in his approach to speedway and IMO will be among the top guys in the Championship. Doolan is reliable and will do a job as second or third heat leader though it would be good to see a rider between him and Bridger. Less sure about Carr, had a great season last year and scored good points especially towards the end of the season and if he starts 2017 in the same reserve position then he can be again a big scorer for Berwick , hopefully he will continue his progress next season but if he starts in the main team he may need to drop to reserve to get back to the scores from last season.

I think Liam's performances and some of the riders he beat last season were of a higher level than you are giving him credit for.

Rob always seems to pick up a bad injury mid season riding in the NL and never seemed to get going after and pretty sure he would do well at berwick he has really good machinery which always helps ,I would have him before a few riders that have been around the NL and only really been racing NL for 3 seasons ,I would also try to fit Coty in pretty sure he will put another point and a half on his average this year where ever he goes to
