Berwick 2017 50th Year

Recommended Posts

Gappmaier a steal on that average!

If I read it correct minimum he would come in on next year is a 4.00 ?

TJ has posted he has signed for a Championship team

If as reported he has signed for a Polish club that could well rule out a weekend track. Maybe heading to Sheffield or Redcar??

Hope he is not on his way to us, nightmare from what I here from Sheffield

Would imagine if anyone can get best out of Garrity it is Gary Havelock given their liaison at Brandon?

Looking at BSPA averages again, it does look like Danny will still be on 5 despite having an effective average of 3.75. The rules of this sport take some believing to be honest.

The BSPA page gives 2016 PL Final Averages & not "Team Building" averages.

The true averages with assessed in brackets might give a clue but at the bottom the riders have averages of 3.00 rather than true averages.

totally watered the whole of British Speedway down, but if it is to cut costs and help the sport survive, then so be it, not a great deal of choice.

If the changes are part of taking one step back to take two steps forward then surely its worthwhile doing, must admit I wouldve liked to see some of the changes go further to try and encourage more British riders into regular racing in the different leagues.

Strong rumours suggest that now Garrity isn't wanted at Sheffield that Berwick is a likely destination, Garrity has a certain reputation that I hope means Berwick would leave well alone.

From what I understand he comes with a lot of baggage, have been warned to stay clear as far as sponsorship is concerned

With only 10 teams in league I can see 4's going back to a one day competition again with the 2 teams with lowest average missing out
