stevebrum
Lol! Your failed traffic warden uncle reported me and got my other account suspended but in the meantime you keep 'boring on' about this ridiculous fantasy speedway rider jackanory story, brummm brummmmmm brummmmmmm ha ha ha! It's impossible to know anyone got you reported or suspended unless you are claiming you are 'in the know' which would break all forum rules. I take it you can prove you were reported and suspended because of one person otherwise it's the usual hot air with no substance. I wouldn't be surprised you had any of you're accounts suspended as you seem to attack people at will. Over to you. By the way, do you need the postcode for Stoke to be shown up (a bit like 90% of your posts) Hahahaha
mikebv
Running six meetings in 21 days is the main reason for 'lower' crowds than may be expected... A family ticket (the target audience surely?) standing would be £246 for the six meetings, therefore the thick end of £300 with car park, programme, food etc.. A lot to pay out in three weeks for 90 mins of entertainment (now matter how good it is).. I do agree the play off qualifiers do affect the attendances as last nights meeting was no more than a 'filler' for BV which would have persuaded more than me to stay away I would suggest.. However I do think Fred's estimate of 20k missing is a 'tad' optimistic given I would say a crowd of 2000 would have been the ballpark figure you would get even if no PO's existed. (Maybe 3000 at the Poole match given they could still have won the title and BV would have been crowned champions).. 2000 a week would still represent a huge % increase on last year at the 'dog bowl' (as indeed do the 1600 or so attendances being delivered) therefore still room of optimism at the Aces, especially if next year they can add some professional marketing to their business plan.. No at all, i dont give a monkeys what they have, yes it looks a good track and our meetings were very good, but as i said they can get a proper picture after the honeymoon period. End of next season would give them a good idea. Thats not jealousy, thats fact.. Edited September 15, 2016 by Starman2006
waiheke1
You don't think 2000 is realistic as a goal? Or you don't think 1600 is an improvement on the dog track? Interesting from the guy who reckoned there were 10k plus paying at the turnsyles.

It is a great track and produces cracking racing. All fans in this country should want it to succeed.

Something is going to have to change in the EL next season, as the scheduling of fixtures this year has been a shambles. Belle Vue were unlucky to end up running against Man City on Wednesday too. However, if I cast my mind back to the opening night debacle and the aftermath of postponed meetings Belle Vue haven't done too badly. Phil The Ace
I thought the crowd was very decent considering we had poole Monday and 2 days later swindon in a kind of nothing meeting. Against man city at home to. I'd say 1200/1300 there last night. Not the best meeting racing wise but some good races. Track was very grippy. A bit like the race off at the SWC. Shockster
Belle Vue announcer has lost hi job after last nights ill judged comments. The guy cocked up and made a really stupid wrong comment, but he apologised and I don't believe there was any malice in his thoughts. He made a mistake,. Political correctness claims another victim. Give the guy a break.

waiheke1
Called tungate the "african american in the woodpile" apparently.
Shockster
Tungate won a race and he said he was the Ni***r in the wood pile for Swindon. He had no idea at what he had just said and carried on as normal. It was just a stupid wrong ignorant thing to say and nobody really could believe they had heard it. However, he came back on the mike and apologised for what seemed an age. Everybody takes these things different, but it seems harsh for the guy to lose his job out of stupidity to me.
KIRKYLANE
The centre green presenter , Simon , has now resigned. His Speedway knowledge was minimal which was transparent in his dialogue throughout the year.
foreverblue
Oh that is a shame for him but obviously made the right decision in resigning.
