daveallan81
26th June was the first attempt to stage the Dave Perks Testimonial at Cradley Heath. The rained off meeting was billed as a four team event - can anyone tell me who the 4 teams were to be? More bad luck for Dave, the second attempt on 20th October was also washed out. Was this match to be Cradley v Dave Perks Testimonial Select as it was restaged on the 27th or was something else planned? Finally, can anyone confirm the result of 46-32 for the Swindon Sprockets v Central Junior League Select challenge staged on 29th October? BL65
26th June was the first attempt to stage the Dave Perks Testimonial at Cradley Heath. Finally, can anyone confirm the result of 46-32 for the Swindon Sprockets v Central Junior League Select challenge staged on 29th October? The meeting at Cradley Heath on 26th June should have been Heathens (Alan Grahame, Phil Collins, Dave Perks, Andy Reid) v Globetrotters (Steve Gresham, Steve Regeling, John McNeill, Jan Verner) v National Leaguers (Joe Owen, Tom Owen, Paul Stead, Alan Molyneux) v Pirates (Kevin Smith, Peter Prinsloo, Danny Kennedy, Neil Middleditch). Peter Adams, John Bailey, Ken McKinlay and Pete Jarman were due to be the respective team managers. The programme for 26th June was issued with an insert for the planned re-staging on 20th October, with the meeting between Cradley 'Heathens' and Dave Perks Testimonial Select. This programme and insert was then used for the meeting on 27th October. Edited September 13, 2016 by BL65
