I just think that trying to pass someone unlikely to make a pass, makes the job of passing an opponent a little more difficult,,, a could be wrong tho :(

It comes to a pass when you try to pass your partner for the win especially when you knock him off his line. There is a word for that - selfishness..

Whatever happened to Team Riding?

Just asking like.

Because you don't go, of course you don't know that LL was often actually trying to pass Matej to go for the other teams rider in front of both of them.

Bollocks.

I know it's not allowed like.

The mention of Lindgren, because of his presence, would obviously cloud any fair comment that you would make on the matter. I am also allowed to mention it.

Proud to play a small part in this...

http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100662

Newcastle is a good program so deserves the PL title (was the 2 times I was there).

I don't understand why the last 2 years Berwick program is listed as £3 when it's £2 every time I am there.

Will hopefully see what both are like at the end of March (if the weather is half decent).

Glad to see you are comparing Richie with Lewis and Ashley. Glasgow losing Richie is the same as Newcastle losing Steve. If Glasgow lose Bewley or Lunna then they will be in the same boat as us losing Rose or Morris. (i.e. in trouble) You have to compare like for like. Bewley will find it a lot harder in the main body of the team. Yes he has beaten heat leaders around Glasgow, but so has Lewis around Newcastle. As I've said before the hardest bit will be trying to find 2 point guests if we need to cover injury to the reserves.

I wasn't comparing Richie with Lewis and Ashley

Glasgow have 3 heat leaders and 4 strong 'reserves' ........... all im saying is if Richie goes down injured, instead of 8.5 rider taking 4 rides they will have 3 rides taking by 4 pointers ............

Likewise if Lewis or Ashley get injured they have 2 or 3 three rides covered by our 2 pointers

I just fear we could see some awful meetings ..... and by we I mean the paying public anywhere

The average lowering will lower the quality of the product and too many rides will be taken by NL riders struggling to make the grade

My prediction on how the averages will look come the end of 2017

1. Robert Lambert 9.00-9.50

2. Ashley Morris 4.50-5.00

3. Lewis Rose 6.75-7.25

4. Ludvig Lindgren 7.25-7.75

5. Steve Worrall 8.75-9.25

6. Connor Coles 2.75-3.25

7. Danny Phillips 2.25ish

If something like this can happen, I see us being pretty strong come the end of the season, just in time for the play-offs, Steve and Lambert should be nearly unbeatable most places, Ludvig and Lewis should be one of the strongest 3-4 in the league and Ashley should be a strong number 2, reliable and 110%

The reserves, I am basically taking an educated guess, but good luck to both in 2017

Let's hope no one gets injured, for any team and we have a fun season next year :t: Good luck all riders, and be safe!!

the mid point of those averages only come to 42.75 .............. they will need to be a damn sight higher to challenge for league and cup

the averages will increase because in an ideal world and all teams are equal there are 42 points available in 14 heats (I wonder how this be factored in over the season)

title winners invariably have a 'rolling' average of 45+ and a cma of 50+

Anyway, I think Robert could be 10+ as I only see the Cookie monster averaging more than him ............. just will he be available enough to win us honours

Sorry, but I can't see your logic in this. You've got to compare Lewis and Ashley with Lunna and Bewley. If Richie gets injured (2nd Heat leader by average) then Lawson and Summers will get two of his rides plus Lunna (4.9) and Bewley (3.9) getting the other two. If Steve is injured then Robert and Ludvig get two of the rides plus Lewis (6.1) and Ashley (4.98). I'd favour ours by miles.

Personally I'd expect Connor to match Jack Smith any day of the week. Both will struggle a bit if we were to lose Lewis or Ash and they were to lose Lunna or Bewley especially away. They will struggle more if they lost Perry than we would losing Connor or Danny. It's all ifs and buts tho. Hopefully everyone will get through relatively unscathed.

The only bit I understand is it is all ifs & buts and to be honest it is the only part that is relevant as the rest has more twists to it than a Xmas episode of Eastenders.
