Delighted for Shanes, feel sorry for Tressarieu as he was awesome all day & gutted for De Jong who i felt was harshly excluded from the final and thats no way to hand over your title.

Yeah this was a very bad call from the ref I was standing 10 meters from the crash and I have it all on photo's, too bad it didn't matter.

I suppose it keeps up spectator interest, but it does seem a strange format whereby a rider can be amongst the also-rans for most of the day, scrapes into the final with a second place finish in the B final and then wins the A-final.

I'm happy for James Shanes, but the format just doesn't work for me.

Yes the system is daft, I think this will be discussed at the next FIM Europe meeting
