Pinny
Id agree that Newman needs a move from Poole , he has completely stalled at Poole and a change of scenery would do him the world of good

Countershaftcounter
Don't agree with you.. I get the impression that Newman has stagnated this year too, true he's had some injuries but I think a change of scenery would do him good. Who would you have in Poole next year ? Than the premier just my opinion
Bagpuss
Would have been a few points closer with Iversen riding, doubt Rose would have made too much of a difference, and Holder would have been out in heat 15 if he had been needed. Kings Lynn need to build a brand new lineup. Only riders worth keeping are Lambert and Porsing. Rose has scored well at number two this year, not least at home to the table toppers on their second visit. He needs to be kept for next year without a doubt, one of the few good gaters we have. Who would you have in Poole next year ? Kyle has not stagnated at poole. I would keep Adam, Chris, Brady will be a lot better rider next season. But it wouldn't suprise me if Matt kept Kyle as well. Depends what the rules are going to be.. Edited September 14, 2016 by Starman2006
poolebolton
I think Matt buys Ellis from Lakeside worthy British asset. Chris if he wants to ride which he might, might not. Kurtz and J.Holder will be new Turbo Twins and Starke will come in at reserve and KK in as well. It depends on reserve rules. I can see a team like. 1.Holder/Magic/Lindback 2. Kurtz 3. Tungate/Kacper 4. Kacper/J.Holder 5.KK 6. Ellis 7.Starke/J.Holder The half and halfs are to do with the rules who could possibly come in. Gavan
Think Newman has done his time at Poole and won't be in the draft next year. To much of a risk as a second string and Poole should make sure they get Ellis who has improved no end and left Newman miles behind.

Unfortunately for Kyle you are correct, he rode for Poole before the draft system and was dropped, i know he has improved since then but not sure he is good enough to hold down a place in the main body of the team. Pinny
Only a biased plonker like Starman could suggest newman hasnt gone stale. He needs a move to somewhere like Lynn or Swindon to better his career, potential is there for sure but is going nowhere as a reserve for Poole and would get eaten alive in the 1-5. Garrity, Worrall and Ellis are making much bigger strides.
poolebolton
needs to go somewhere like Leicester like starke with no pressure. Riding Poole is the most pressurising club in the UK. I love Kyle but needs to make a name outside of Poole.
stevebrum
I agree that Kyle has stagnated this year, whether that is down to injury or illness or both I'm not sure. Ellis has definetly been the reserve success for Poole and has certainly overshadowed Kyle this year and I can see Ellis at Poole not Kyle if they keep one reserve in the 6 man teams next year. I like Kyle, a good honest rider who usually rides nice and smooth and has ambition and you can never fault a rider for planning bigger things. On the occasions I have seen him this year he has looked a little more erratic and a little more desperate in his riding style.
waiheke1
Surely depends also what they use as basis for EDR averages. For example starke on a 5 earned rifing a lotvat 2nd string or Newman on a 6 earned solely at reserve would be a no brainer.
g13webb
Surely depends also what they use as basis for EDR averages. For example starke on a 5 earned rifing a lotvat 2nd string or Newman on a 6 earned solely at reserve would be a no brainer. But you could say that about all the riders in the Elite League. Because the format of the rides and the biasness of some heats and riding positions, all riders averages are questionable. Quite honestly, the averages are not worth the paper they're written on. The only answer to all these issues is to start again. Have an independent panel to assess all riders starting point, and revert back to an old format where all the riders have to ride against each other......so their averages will relate to the quality of the rider...
