ruckerroo
First visit to kent for me. Brummies look very solid one to seven.
Reviresco
Kent's HLs v Brummies 1 to 7. The first leg was good, this could be a cracker and i expect a whiff of controversy somewhere along the line. Will be heading down there early. What time do the gates to the super grandstand usually open please? EDIT: Just answered my own question: Gates Open 5pm, brilliant. Reviresco
Probably not the right place, but hey ho. Massif congratulations to James Shanes on his major European Grasstrack triumph at the weekend. Bad back and all. Gee that boy has some talent and a thoroughly nice lad to go with it. Brilliant stuff. Just shows that the future of British Speedway is in good hands with this current crop of young lads. Guess there will be a celebration in Smiley Racing's honour tonight.

Ommer Mon
This could be a cracker tonight and best of luck to both sides. Let's hope speedway is the winner tonight and not the curfew!
Brummies_Ste
Fantastic final score Kent 36- Brummies 54 ( 77- 103 ) Bring on Eastbourne or Cradley
ruckerroo
Utter dominance from Brum, not one weak link. Kent nowhere near the same side now thomas is in the main 5. Couple nasty crashes, smiths v nasty. Eastie or kent need a miracle to beat brum over 2 legs
blueherb777
Left after Heat 12. Embarrassing. Men against boys. Out-gated all night. Kings too many weak links. Can trash the weaker teams, but Brum are in a different League. If Birmingham do not win everything,I will be shocked.
uk_martin
Men against boys.... Rather ammusing considering the average age of the Brummies team. If Birmingham do not win everything,I will be shocked. The Brummies didn't win the 4's. Rather doubt that a Brummies rider(s) will win the NLRC or the Pairs either. So be shocked!

I should have said the Brum SUPERKIDS outclassed the Kent OLD men. Both the KOC and the play-offs final could very easily go for a ball of chalk around the Arlington 50p piece. I'd still contend that the 4's and the pairs are mini and micro team events
cityrebel
A walk in the park for brum tonight, no weak links.

Reviresco
Really enjoyed my visit to whatever you call Kent Kings' stadium. Haven't been to the new BV but that grandstand must be about the best in British speedway and gives a great view of the track. Great welcome in the stadium and all the staff are first class as are the facilities. I should have tried the food but at least sampled the peanuts in the bar. Brummies fans allowed to be loud and proud and I was allowed to do my "Come On Danyon" with no repercussions, lol. Megaphone siren caused a bit of a stir and the Big Ed enjoyed his trip. Met an amazing 83yo Eastbourne fan in the pits car park after the meeting and he entertained me and Dan for a good while with bis stories from his first involvement in speedway in 1946. drives himself to all the meetings and was at the IoW week when Dan guested for A Ellis. Brilliant stuff. Isn't that Giant Greyhound on top of that limousine a bit scary...? Thanks everyone a thoroughly enjoyable visit, (Talking of BV, what's all this about £ problems, if its true....?)

blueherb777
I think I know who AJ is King is from the sound of that post. Yer ? I think not. You really left early because we were losing? Can't win them all, and the best team on the night won. Still fancy we could beat Brum over 2 legs if all riders perform at both meets. Not that Kings were losing, just so one sided and the contest was over after 2 Heats. Very little racing and it looked like being a close meeting but was anything but. I bet you a farthing that if Kings meet Brum in playoff Final, there is only one winner.
Sings4Speedway
Superb performance from the Brummies last night who ran out worthy winners on both the night and overall. Big lessons in gating were dished out by the visitors and its hard to single out any rider for exceptional praise as Perks, Hume, Bacon, JPB & Perry were all brilliant although i would just give the Captain the nod being his best performance at Central Park and showing some excellent team riding skills. Smith was unfortunate to over ride and end his night early although i still feel the weak link in the team is Ritchings. For the home side the only real opposition came from Bowen. Ayres & Shanes put in plenty of effort but were generally bettered. Verge, Thomas & Clifton were shown the gulf in level last night and Mason (who couldn't be bothered with the away leg) looked largely disinterested last night. All in all the Brummies performance made my visit worth the entry money and although a much improved Kent side this year theres still much to do to catch the leaders and i fear that next season normal service will be resumed. And as an extra point i was yet again dissappointed that the Kent side were not sent out to congratulate the winners on the centre green.
