g13webb
Personally I think they look quite smart, certainly better than last years! Each to their opinion JC. My son thinks like you as well. I would have like to see more Blue and Yellow instead of the Black . I thought they were our colours.. I would have preferred a suit that stood out from the rest, instead of all being similar... tellboy
Well i quite liked the look of them tonight. Why is blue and yellow our colours anyway, originally we were green and gold.To me the colour is irrelivant anyway as a team sport at least they will all look the same(once Holder gets his )

Probably why those colours are used by the footie team as well. Seems there's also a pelican on the coat of arms so be grateful the hockey club got there first with that one

Clive Ward
How many kl fans thought that the Simon Lambert testimonial ran on for far to long. I know there was a few tape breaking exclusions and rider fall offs but the parade seemed to take eternity and then what seemed like a long interval plus when the riders chose their gates for the semi finals they all trudged out to the start line to do it. I know of some supporters that left after heat 16 because they were so fed up. I left my home at 1.30 for a 2 start and got nome at 6.30. 5 hours is far to long for any speedway meeting. Gemini
If you look at this thread there are quite a few disgruntled fans. http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=83786

Some count the hours vs cost.I know theres a limit but to some I suppose time = value up to a certain degree. lynnboy
I know one thing if lynn speedway meetings takes as long as lambert testimonial I for one would stop going. It needs to start dead on 7:30 not 8pm and be finished by 9:30 if you want to entice parents to bring there children like I do.

semion
It's a business remember. The longer you are there the more you will spend. Unless you are a tight git, like me lol
waytogo28
I am just at the 'tipping point" as to wether or not to go to watch the Stars this season after being at the very first meeting held in the "new" stadium in the 1960's. I can't remember how poorly ever before I have been fired up my the start of a new season. The stadium has been dramatically improved by Buster but sadly the presentation and how the customer on the terraces is treated in terms of being seemingly ignored has been the same old, same old scenario of long drawn out meetings with unnecessary delays. Buster seems concerned only about ensuring that the track is as perfect as he can get it ( no bad thing at all ) but if there are fewer and fewer fans prepared to stand around for two to three hours what need is there for a perfect track. Crisp, well run meetings run to highlight the excitement of the Best of the night's racing is what you want ( what I want at least! ). 90 mins to two hours should be the aim except for unforeseen holdups and after those it should be On with the Show promptly! Starting on time has become more and more of a problem. Tapes Up on Heat One at 7.30 pm but no later than 7.45 pm ( as advertised ) and Please DO make a call off by 8 pm whenever that is possible! P.S. Does the interval need to run on to 20 mins, as it often has, when really it's just for a pee and a cup of tea!
Daniel Smith
Unfortunately, delays are inevitable at King's Lynn. Low sun the main reason
stevehone
a testimonial will take longer because of many things, but the presentation will go much longer because of gifts to all riders, extra interviews, and extra pictures
kelvinht
Meetings need to be quick (except when there have been fallers). Unnecessary delays loses the momentum and excitement of the meeting. Aim should be 7.45pm start, 9.15pm finish.
Haza
It's a business remember. The longer you are there the more you will spend. Unless you are a tight git, like me lol that works both ways the longer they draw it out could mean fans stop going me for one and I no others who feel the same - and how can you attract kids if it's drawn out till near on 10 pm when there is school the next day ? They definitely need to run a much slicker show and if Lamberts meeting was anything to go by I for one won't be going on a regular basis Unfortunately, delays are inevitable at King's Lynn. Low sun the main reason not starting on time and watching tractors going round and then an long interval are the main reasons time to have first race 7.30 and run a slick show Rory Schlien testimonial was a prime exaple of how to run a slick show
Star Lady
Sun delays usually happen around 8 o'clock so tapes up at 7.30, interval at 8. Where's the problem And why is the track still being prepared at 7.30 sometimes still is at 7.45, Can you imagine Old Trafford 10 minutes before kick off and they are still painting the white lines! It's about having respect for paying customers by being ready. Edited April 3, 2017 by Star Lady
