I must apologise GRW123,i didn't really think it would offend you so much.I must have took it wrong when you said in your post that the spanner lay on the track for some time.As you thought it was a mirror i thought this too was a reason to say something.

No problems, The only reason I added to the tread was because posters were making comments towards Pedersen and/or his mechanic when in fact, it could have belonged to a number of people.....

Happy new year to all stars supporters, riders and management. Talking of riders who do we want to take the #7 position ?, personally I would like to see Josh given a chance before any foreign rider.

Josh now signed for the young stars so will 3 leagues be too much for him and his machines? Dropping the PL might be a good option until he can find his feet after his injury. Even D Howe & TJ suffered for a long while after sustaining shoulder injuries. D Howe retired because of this as he knew he was better than the scores he was getting.

I would like to see Josh Bailey given a decent run in the Stars for 2017at No.7 . I hope that they do not go back to Wilkinson because although he will always have a go, he is past his best and there is no further progress in him. Although it was great to see him beat Woffinden that is not a true refection of what he is capable of consistently achieving. If Josh was given the support and advice he needs that would accelerate his progress in general.

What sort of times was Young Josh posting around Saddlebow in the National League last season ?

The times posted are pretty irrelevant as an individual number, but looking over the meetings Bailey was faster than pretty much any visiting rider in each meeting and as a No'1 double figured most meetings.

9.58 home average is not to be sniffed at and from what I can see 61.05 was his quickest time.

Same as you, I thought Josh Bailey was a nailed on certainty. He would be ideal candidate for a reserve place. Its all very well riding in the National league and scoring high points, but to experience racing with the big boys would a tremendous benefit to him . He would get all the encouragement to progress along the way.

I think it would be wrong if he was overlooked in preference to someone new to this club. What statement would that be to all those young, up and coming riders, who want to progress to the top League....

Don't think it's as black and white as that. There are obviously other options who may be better than Josh and it might be a bit much for the lad to ride in three leagues, perhaps work commitments for either himself or his Father would make it difficult. Might also be a year too soon for him and 2017 might be better used establishing himself more in the PL (Championship).

Having said all of that I'd be quite happy for him to be named at number seven and whatever happens I'm sure he has a big future with the club.
