Bagpuss
According to Twitter you are getting C Holder in average reduction mode. Please don't. Lol, since when has Twitter been gospel? That said there is always that risk with riders associated with Poole. Better than the alternative of no competitive number one. Holder, Lambert, Batch will be a good top three but Porsing and H-Beck don't scare anyone i'm afraid as 2nd strings. Huckenbeck would be at reserve. semion
Gordon don't let facts get in the way of a Posting from a Poole supporter. 😂 Â I wonder what Buster will do if Holder comes it and is under performing. Will he stick as he did with Troy or bust as he did with Roty ? If Buster is paying Holder top dollar then he is going to want a decent return on his money. g13webb
Holder is a great signing. Improves the league and is still the biggest name in the league. Holder gets paid way more than Doyle. KK vs Holder at Poole will be great. KK who lives in Poole and will improve vs Holder who will have a point to prove. Â 1. Holder, Lambert, Batch will be a good top three but Porsing and H-Beck don't scare anyone i'm afraid as 2nd strings. Â If the Lynn team included Holder, Batch and Lambert as heat leader, that would be equal to anything in the league. To have them in the races at the business end of the meeting would make Lynn very formidably. The Second strings of Porsing, Huckenbeck and Rose will be comparative with any of the teams named so far. Porsing and Huck. are both very capable and will only get better. Their averages are low but their talent is high. I see no reason why they both won't improve their average significantly. Giving them the opportunity on fast bikes they will surprise a lot of people... Lewis Rose was always going to come good. Sharp gater, smooth style, all he needed was an injury free run. After 3 years of troubles, last year he showed the progress we had all expected. Elevated into the team proper he still scored valued points and achieved a creditable average from his 1-5 position.. I see no reason why this form wont continue . Â I'm not silly enough to predict success from the off, but at least this year we should be in with a shout for those Play-Off places from the start, and that's something we haven't been able to do for a few years now.... Star Lady
. Holder gets paid way more than Doyle. Â Â If Buster is paying Holder top dollar then he is going to want a decent return on his money. Â Maybe Holder won't be paid so much this season. Ford said Lynn were the only ones enquiring which means Holder is not in the greatest bargaining position and Buster is IMO in a stronger one. If Holder wants to ride in the UK he has to accept whats on offer and that may not be as much as he is used to or want. Â Having said that Holder at his best is one of the more entertaining riders to watch round Lynn, so he may just may tempt me occasionally.....always providing he doesn't have a monster of an entourage

Gavan
Â You just cant help yourself can you? Coming from you lol. Orion said that sometime Holder couldnt be bothered. i was merely pointing out that KK comes with exactly the same reputation how hard is that for you to comprehend?? Â It's not about who is the better no1. It is about having a more balanced side. Having KK means having 1.5 points extra. Why is that so hard to understand? where have i said that i didnt understand that KK makes it a more balanced side?? Â i was responding to Orion who said that a lot of times last season Holder wasnt interetsed and not trying. i said that KK has form for being exactly the same. Holder Batch and Lambert will be the strongest top 3 in the league followed by Wolves if they get Masters. Â Huchenbeck will be a reserve not a second string and along with the Coventry duo will be one of the strongest reserves in the league. Â Porsing and Rose especially at home will be a very strong second string partnership. Â If Kings Lynn have the rumoured 1-7 they are nailed on for the play offs
Pirate Baz
For my opinion I'm gutted that Chris will not be at Poole. Really envious of the Stars. Certainly play off candidates and if the second strings can up their game and get some consistency they could go the whole way. Got to keep my Pirates hat on having supported them through boyhood, adulthood (supposedly) and senility, but will be keeping a close eye on Kings Lynn and hoping Chris does the business for you.
Steve Shovlar
Some of the comments appearing on these pages are unreal. Posters questioning the status of Chris Holder as if he was mear club racer. Chris Holder is a World Class rider, probably ranked in the top 5 of the world. There are few equal to his talent, and KK and Andersen don't come into that category. Ok he may have struggled with his form early on last year, but didn't he come back really strong. Considering the physical and mental problems he's had to endure in recent years I would suggest he has recovered remarkably well. Â I for one think Matt Ford has dropped a real clanger. With Chris Doyle recovering from a bad injury, No NKI, No Zagar, No AJ, I see Holder being top spot and filling his boots every meeting. Â There's an old saying: 'You don't kill the Goose that lays a Golden Egg' and that's what Ford has done by getting rid of him..... Â First of all I am very pleased we haven't lost Chris Holder from the EL. He is one of the best riders in the world and Kings Lynn will soon discover a better rider than the rider he is replacing. Â Should Matt have kept Noddy in the Poole lineup? No. Not with the points teams have to play with. Without the x1.4, yes, but with it, it takes up too many team building points. Poole made the right call. It will be sad to see him riding elsewhere but rather that than lose him out of British Speedway. It's not about who is the better no1. It is about having a more balanced side. Having KK means having 1.5 points extra. Why is that so hard to understand? That 1.5 points will be massive in the scheme of things. Makes the team much more balanced. Interesting though when you compare Kings Lynn to Swindon, with the other big star, Kings Lynn look far more balanced. therefused
One of the key parts of the team is the experience on el tracks also. If the rumoured team does come to fruition all of the riders bar bailey we're in the el last year

Iversen has been one of the most outstanding EL performers of the past 5 seasons or so if not the top averaged rider overall. Stars fans can only hope that any signing they make can match the scoring prowess of Iversen. That level of scoring is virtually unmatchable.

Joe Beevers
 I would hazard a guess as we have never commented on each others posts, your one of these doodahs with two accounts on here. I don't know why some of you simpletons bother with all this? You HAZARD too many guesses ................... and as USUAL are wrong on all counts! ........................... the Speedway Star actually quotes word for word what the rider says so yes I do believe in it ...............................  Shows just how gullible you are then. Or don't you believe anything you read? Maybe you don't read and that's the issue.  Wrong again ............ unlike yourself I have moved beyond The Beano! (My almost daily read being a very specific aspect of history).  Examples? I have never heard or spoken to you before this quite random attack.  Obviously you are a multiposter and don't even have to guess it.  Why are you shouting in your posts? Usually when people shout it's either because they know they losing the argument or they are trying hard to gain everyone's attention. With a name like DizzAssStar that would suit you down to the ground.  I think your probably around 15-18 years old with the way you are behaving with another username and just keen to try and get noticed and try to sound smart for example you say you read history with you do at school or college where you have to raise your hand to get noticed.  Can you please stop shouting and taking over the thread or you will be reported.  Apologies to the thread users but I am ignoring the child now.  Kind regards  Joe
g13webb
i will be much happier when Poole annouce their final rider. I wonder why the delay !! Could it be that it's not so automatic as some seem to think. Could it be the last name was someone like Batch, or even Lambert, which would really screw any aspirations that the Stars fans may have. They have enough points to play with ?? Matt Ford is a lot of things but stupid he is not. No doubt, allowing Holder to go would have to be compensated. But surely Lyons isn't stupid enough to fall into that trap of letting his Star asset go ...Could be a long week.....
Trees
IF Robert is not a Star next year I will have a massive strop, the thought of him signing for Poole makes me feel physically sick! It MUST NEVER happen!!!
ivanhoward
Poole would have to change their current signed riders to fit Robert Lambert in

Daniel Smith
If i'm correct it looks like 2017 is Robert Lambert's last season for the NL 2.5% reduction as he first rode EL in 2014. Â For team building it makes him 8.
DizzAssStar
Â Why are you shouting in your posts? Â Â Don't ordinarily argue with an amoeba (on the pretence that a fool will drag me down to their level and beat me with their experience) but I suppose I can make an exception in your case, thereby necessitating the odd shout in the hope that the message gets through! Â Time and again you guess and make all the wrong assumptions (typical of a FEW Poole contributors) ............ btw wish I was 18 again (but still possessed the same life experience, professional qualifications and financial stability as now) but for the record I first started visiting "sunshine speedway" after leaving school at a time when Bob Humphreys, Barry Crowson and Arthur Price were in the team (riders you will have only read about in The Beano) ....... have deliberately left out the top (KL) Stars of the time as that would be way too easy! (Also saw David Gagen win a pre-meeting run off against Geoff Carnell and one other (may have been Richard Tawn) at Boston to claim a reserve spot for the evening in his very first League (Div 2) appearance if memory serves me correctly against Sunderland captained by Jack Millen [rip] ).............. think that establishes my age (roughly!). Â Anyway Beaver consider the banter closed (you ain't seen me when i'm really ANGRY!)............ you are now on ignore...... (I guarantee I won't respond through another username as I 100% do not have one)! Â My sincere apologies to other good folks on this forum.....but I couldn't let an idiot have the last word............. I ashamedly admit its one of my failings :-(
