King's Lynn Stars 2017

Recommended Posts

I keep seeing this word KKS but I haven't the foggiest idea what it means so appreciate any help as I am not 'down' with these new youthful terms.

Anyhow back to Kings Lynn. Cannot see Chris Holder riding there and would be surprised to see Zagar join, so true heatleaders are starting to look scarce for the teams who haven't signed any.

Kings Lynn, Somerset and Leicester (presumably Belle Vue have Cook and Fricke) are all still yet to announce and probably will be battling for the signature of Kim Nilsson, Joonas Kylmakorpi or perhaps Krzysztof Bucksowski.

I cannot think of many more heatleaders so options are to pack the top order with riders like Schlein, Bech, Gomolski, Woryna etc.

Rebels have our team signed up so won't be battling for anyone.

Very pleased Lynn have reverted back to Weds. Clashing with Ippo was not good for those of us that would like to venture into deepest Norfolk for some Premiership action :D

Great news for me, as I was having to let people down on a Thursday, who I'd been faithful to for years. I know of quite a few people that were in the same boat as me last season.

Skidder1 thank you for your post. apology accepted. I'm very protective of my boy especially when he's done nothing wrong. He has been very down about this, not easy in a foreign country when people make allegations like that. Back home here Thursday - start getting ready for 2017 at Lynn.

Fast bikes this year and Hollywood will do well.

Simon Lambert will have a testimonial at King's Lynn in March. I didn't realise he had been racing that long.

You would imagine that would suggest he will ride for King's Lynn next year. He was having a good season until his injury

I'd certainly like to see him in the King's Lynn side, as he's not really been given a fair crack of the whip with the club over the years, considering he's an asset.

Also lets remember, he's local, and no matter what peoples thoughts are of him, he has a lot of followers from his home area, which means more bums on seats.

With the watered down 'First Tier' he'd be an excellent signing in my opinion.

From Panthers website-

Lambert, who has raced for Lynn in six seasons at different levels, said: “We’re all systems go for the upcoming season at King’s Lynn."

Pretty clear hes signed

Not when you read the whole press release in context:

"The 27 year-old had initially been set to celebrate his decade in the sport last summer, but put the meeting on hold due to issues with dates.

Lambert, who has raced for Lynn in six seasons at different levels, said: “We’re all systems go for the upcoming season at King’s Lynn.

“I’ve got a lot of ideas and I'm hoping to get a good line-up. We’ve got some strong riders in the pipeline, so hopefully we’ll be in a position to start making some announcements soon."

The upcoming season is in reference to his testimonial being postponed last year.

I wouldn't be adverse to having Simon in the team. He's always been good value at Lynn. It's his away form that is the issue. Given the choice of him or Huckenbeck on a just over 5, it's Kai every time for me.

Looking around at some of the other reserves I'd say that Huckenbeck is a must.

Would be disappointed if Kai isn't in the team at reserve surely he's a must have.

While I have nothing against Simon Lambert in the Lynn team it would mean that we might be to week at the top end of the team

Suddenly Poole look good again. I'm disappointed they signed klindt. If wolves have agreed a loan deal there then more fool them. He was the main rider on a steal of an average.. What would a rider like cyfer come in on. And other foreign riders new to the league.

I think gomolski would do a decent job on a big track like Lynn.

Maybe like a

Cook

Porsing

Lambert

Rose

Gomolski

Kai

Lambert

Not my ideal team I'd rather a big hitter at the top and 1 weak reserve.

In these dark and unfortunate days we see, when talking about this sport, it is nice that one team does it right. You can alway rely on Poole to field a decent team and as per normal they will provide the bench mark all others teams have to match.....

My heart goes out to all the Bees supporters, who have been one of the longest surviving clubs, operating from the same venue for more years I care to remember. What a shame that the situation has descended into this chaos, especially when we need as many clubs as possible to keep this sport alive. Thinking of all the Bees Supporters...and hope an answer can be found soon....

Hope, is sometimes all we have to hang on to, but It appears our prayers have been answered. Thank you you to all those involved... Onwards and upwards..... :t:

Tell us all about yourself my friend. How long have you been going to King's Lynn?
