King's Lynn Stars 2017

They did tweet "Signings will be on the way in the not too distant future along with news on a fans forum".

Wow.... didn't they do well......... I saw a few tweets saying they are on the job trying to signing riders. But I have never seen anything about a Supporters Meeting or making an announcement of the team. If it wasn't for DWP we would be non the wiser.......

How can you defend attitude like that???.................

I suppose news on about a fans forum pretty much means a supporters meeting, which was tweeted.

Not sure what your gripe is. You wanted to know about a Supporters Meeting and they tweeted they will do one and give more news shortly. No point giving an exact date yet until they sign the full 1-7 and make sure they could attend. Edited by woz01

I don't have no gripe with anyone, am just disappointed with the consideration given to the fans. Probably, me being old school expected more, like we use to get. Before there was anything like social media we were always kept in the picture on what was happening through articles in the local press and magazines.

Up until recent years, we always had a Supporters meeting so it would have been expected to be normal time, normal place. but after the laid back approach of last year, was I wrong to ask the question......

No mate I have no gripe, just wishing the fans were kept more in the picture... No doubt they will expect us to fork out the £18's every week......

I agree that PR at the club last season was dreadful but in this instance I think it's just a case of some people being impatient, no doubt they are seeing other clubs announce signings and feel Lynn should be doing the same. However it's only mid November, I'd rather they tell us when they have something to say rather than reporting when Matt Ford breaks wind like Poole seem to.

They have told us they are having a fans forum and until they have a date which, as somebody has said probably depends on signings, there really isn't anything to add.

Perhaps Buster and his mates at the BSPA are having to spend so much time resolving Leicester and Belle Vue, their respective teams are getting neglected...

You were all clamouring for Buster to get in there and knuckle down with sorting speedway out, perhaps he needs to sort out someone else to get on with KL team building and other KL related stuff????

Just a thought.......

Dale Allitt and Rob Lyon are sorting out the team apparently and somebody tweeted the update about the fans forum. As you say he's got his hands full with BSPA matters so it would seem and one would hope that he has the bases all covered.

I'm sure we will hear some news soon as GB says above, it's not a piece of cake behind the scenes ......

CONFIRMED! NKI will not be doing Britain in 2017.

Niels has just put pen to paper for Piraterna in Sweden.

Niels also races for Stal Gorzow (Poland) and Esbjerg (Denmark)

3 League Polish rule.

I've read no confirmation ....

Neil's signing for Piratena is on below link which believe me is the best Polsih Speedway website for all WW speedway updates. It's also on Speedway GP site. Both posted in last 24 hours.

http://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/645874/niels-kristian-iversen-po-wielu-latach-zmienil-klub

or

Also recently he announced he had joined Stahl again next year in Poland. Not long ago he also announced he had signed for Esbjerg.

Polish EL new rules for 2017 state you can only ride Polish EL and 2 other leagues of which one must be your national league. Meaning that unless he cans his new Swedish agreement (no chance as not one World class rider would give up Sweden EL for UK) he cannot ride in UK even if he wanted to.

Think it's assumed (by some) that the riders are abiding by the ridiculous Polish rule.

I haven't read any facts about it either.

I'd imagine most of the top boys will be bullied by the Polish authorities but I hope some rebel.

Which would make us even more top heavy, and there world always be the suspicion of average lowering. So a big no for me personally.

Holder has a lower average than Iversen. 0.12 lower only, but still lower.

I wouldn't be surprised if Niels says no to the UK in 2017 .. I really think he needs to kick on with the GP's and I'm wondering if he stretched himself a bit thin this year.

It's a massive shame if it turns out to be the case, top rider and top bloke, but the way things are going it's pushing this sort of rider away with the rules, which ultimately, like it or not, is what is needed for the sport to survive in this country

Of course it wouldn't be a surprise, he almost made the break last season. Don't totally agree when you say it's what the sport needs to survive tho, no top rider who has always committed to racing here should be forced out as such, is that what you want for any rider who improves and makes it into the gp series and races here?
