King's Lynn Stars 2017

Recommended Posts

I believe I'm right in saying the website is now run by Nigel Pearson and Co. No doubt he has this responsibility of many speedway clubs and all are updated on a strict timetable. It appears the Lynn website is updated Tuesday morning in readiness for Wednesday's match. Whatever we may think of this makes little difference, the timetable will continue until such time when decisions are made to the contrary.

At least we now know that. How much better if the website had always said " This website is updated 36 hours before a match with full team news ". That would have been helpful and clear.

There is a sidecar speedway meeting at Lynn on Friday. Pretty sure the tweet I saw said £10 so it will be interesting to see what kind of crowd they get. Not seen any other advertising tho.

Having said that I've watched it a couple of times in second halves and it's not my cup of tea.

The sidecar meeting I last saw had less passing than in any 2017 home speedway matches. A borefest, but each to his own. Not my cup of tea either.

The number of fans attending matches tells us if everything in the Stars garden is rosy. Judge by that week by week. Will we top 1,000 for Poole? Must do!

Ho-hum ...... oncegain Lynn miss out on an inspired signing with Przedpelski off to Leicester :mad:

ah well there's still Lebedevs, Zmarzlik, Sczepaniak, D udek and a a couple of Pawlickis still up for grabs I suppose but I won't hold my breath waiting for us to sign one of 'em. We'll have to be happy with just getting an average 2nd tier rider I guess....Ho-hum.... ;)

No money left in the pot now that the Sky money has dried up. And good as he was, Iversen had most of that.

There's probably only a couple of those that would think about it,and that's a big probable.

Who would you have dropped for Worrall?

Who would you have dropped for Worrall?

not so much 'dropped' ... lust would have gone for him instead of Jorgensen due to his top league knowledge and of Lynn ....if aves allowed ofc ....

Don't think average anywhere near allow unfortunately.

The Pole who Leicester have just signed whose name I can't spell would have done though, a bit of a missed opportunity as he would have flown round Lynn IMO.

Mate of mine went to Dirt Quake at the AFA and the speedway was advertised for every Wednesday. Surely someone from the club could have altered it.

It ain't lying though is it just the drive to Poole might be a bit far for those that attended

I'd been suggesting him as a signing for over a year... so yes definitely a(nother) missed opportunity  Same with Zmarzlik before he ended up with B'ham but yet another chancepassed by :icon_smile_clown:

It seems no-one at Lynn takes any notice of up'n'coming riders from abroad.. I suppose the promising US riders in world cup will be ig nored too ....
