Daniel Smith
If we get last night's Holder and Batchelor and last night's super trapping Lambert we can make a fight of this league campaign. We've got the same issues as previous seasons in that the rider's don't seem to click all at the same time. That's what's working for Wolves and Belle Vue at the moment, their top 5 are on it. Man for man though, there's not much in it between them and us, we're waiting for the click
Star Fever
Are you saying that we should have done something different to getting Jorgensen and Ayres in? no probs with Ayres ... we actually were quick off the mark with his signing for a change, and Jorgensen isnt a bad signing but he's only a 2nd division rider and there were 1st division riders available I.e Tungate/ Sedgemen who might have done a better job (IF the averages allowed ofc). Jorgensen needs to be given a chance ofc ... and he might turn out to be brilliant but less of a good bet than the other 2(imo)
SCB
Jorgensen is better than Sedgmen. You hardly missed out not getting Sedgmen
tellboy
Jorgensen is better than Sedgmen. You hardly missed out not getting Sedgmen Agree with you there.Think Star Fever is going just purely on Sedgemen's score at Lynn.Sedgemen's average is lower than Jorgensen's average in both leagues. lynnboy
Be interesting to see if holder was riding his uk machinery or whether he was using his GP bikes in the World Cup, as I think it was his GP machinery (ash Holloway tuned) and he will be back on Peter johns engines for league racing for lynn as he won't dump Peter johns and will be trying to get his Peter johns engines back on the pace. stevebrum
Jorgensen is better than Sedgmen. You hardly missed out not getting Sedgmen Not a great amount in it personally. Little in their Championship averages. Thomas has had very few chances in the top flight which I find quite surprising.

Make no excuses !! We need that winning mentality!! Man for man; rider for rider, we are equal to any other team in the league. Unfortunately recent results don't back that up. but that doesn't mean we are weak, just that we don't perform when it matters.,,,.. Our heat leaders of Holder, Batchelor and Lambert are as good as any other team and should be good for 28 to 30 plus points each meeting. Our 2nd strings of Huckenbeck and Jorgensen ought to be grabbing 8 to 10 pts leaving the Reserves the small task of the collecting the rest. It sounds too easy to be true.  Like you say, ' when we click?' but we have been waiting for that to happen now for years....... We need someone to find that switch !!! In general the top 3 take 14 rides. And 10 from 5 is an 8 point ave.I would say your upper end is right.Thats 30(32 ish at home) from the big hitters.Huck and Jorgensen 10 away,12 at home.Sounds easy. But like you say,the click never comes :-(
waytogo28
The potential might be there but the track remains a problem if any of the top five fail to trap. Is it the track at fault or the state of speedway in terms of the bikes, when IF you get away and don't make a bad mistake you will win that heat regardless of your average and who is behind you. Even if there were no guaranteed match fees and double the points money, would the riders behind be able to pass any easier? Is motivation a factor?
Bagpuss
Bad shale. Don't think it's any more complicated than that.
Daniel Smith
One thing I'd try is add more dirt / rip it up more. Our at least rip up the outside, if a rider goes out wide they seem to go backwards. The only part of the track that's anything like the old grippy days is the starts. waytogo28
So why is Buster who still spends SO much time on the track not prepared to try such simple track adjustments. Is he really so set in his ways that nothing can shake his belief that he IS doing it right, HIS way? Seems ludicrous to me when few fans are satisfied with the racing they get at AFA and more and more vote with their feet because he won'r listen. What about league meetings ?The main problem or cause is the track is set up for the stock cars there is more money to be made with minimal out lay compared to speedway - it ain't going to change sadly

The racing wasn't great but i still maintain it doesn't help when there was such a difference in class of riders.
