waytogo28
If it is a broken scaphoid then it is very unlikely to be possible to ride with it strapped up or something. And much as we need him, should he be allowed to take the decision to ride? And surely it won't be just his decision?

Lambert would prob have to do something similar.
semion
When you are riding for yourself as in an individual meeting then the choice has to be yours. However in a team situation that decision should be taken away from the individual
Steve Shovlar
Bummer for Lambert and TeamGB right before the SWC. Hope he gets fit soon.

Well if Lambert can do as well as Steve Worrall did last monday it should greatly aid Team GB's World Cup efforts to get to the race off. They only have to beat USA and without Hancock that should be simple enough. The Race off hurdle will be a much more testing one.

We stand little or no chance of winning the SWC, so why risk further damage for the sake of unimportant meetings..... Surely Lambert would be better to rest up and let the wrist heal, than enduring to persevere and making the injury worse. Had this been the Final or an special meeting I would understand. Riders like Woffy and Hancock can't even be bothered and they're fit..  I suggests he stays by the pool with his girlfriend, like he posted on the Social Media and gets fit... waiheke1
If Doyle is not fit, it is unlikely but not impossible that we could beat aussie. The real issue us that if lambert were at reserve we could take a gamble on his fitness, now I'm not so sure we can. Though should at least be capable of 2nd with Ellis taking up to 4 rides so maybe still is worth the risk.

You are right,we stand little chance of winning the SWC.But maybe Lambert feels proud to represent his country in the team format, unlike Woofy and Hancock. Bald Bloke
Taken from Lambo's Facebook. Â Â Robert is on his way to Sweden to ride in Kumla for Masarna. His shoulder and neck is hurting. He can turn the wrist fine but it hurts him when he moves it up. Further he was not able to get physio on it yesterday as they haven't had a space so he went straight from Newcastle to the airport. Further information will follow after the meeting.

Haza
Lambert taking the p###s can't ride for Lynn last night because of a broken wrist but amazingly it's a miracle he's fit to ride in Sweden tonight guess his Dr is called Jesus - he should definitely get a 28 day ban

Or he knew that Lynn had no chance what so ever of winning at Wolves so better to take an extra 24 hours off?

mrss
Be interesting to see if Rob Lambert rides tomorrow at Belle Vue for the Stars. If he doesn't he should withdraw from the GB World Cup team.
Bagpuss
It's not though is it, completely different track last night compared to this and last night was more or less a dead rubber. I'm surprised he rode tonight but is obviously trying to prove his fitness for Saturday. Not sure if it's wise riding with broken bones and his score tonight would suggest he is struggling with it, not sure either Lynn tomorrow night or GB on Saturday will benefit from him riding. Â Steve Worrall missed Newcastle's home defeat the day before riding in the British Final and I can't remember any of their fans jumping up and down calling for 28 day bans. it's an official fixture and he should have been there - no way has he a broken wrist - a total joke The only joke on here is you, only present when there is something to moan and groan about.
Star Lady
it's an official fixture and he should have been there - no way has he a broken wrist - a total joke  So would you rather he had not ridden tonight and possibly tomorrow and gone into the SWC on Saturday with his wrist untested?  Doyle rode Saturday, isn't riding Thursday but I be he will be fit for the SWC.  I'm not saying it's right but it's happened for years and until all nations have a co-ordinated injury policy (when hell freezes over) it always will.
