King's Lynn Stars 2017

Recommended Posts

Agree it's a big meeting on Wednesday, we need Lambert and Rose back to their best.

we won away last night but we are just as likely to lose by 15 on Wednesday at home until we make the two changes we will be very up and down this team isn't the finnished article YET and when it's is we will take some stopping - hopefully this year the promotion will make the changes that's needed asap

With the averages allegedly being sorted on Monday, what are the chances of having a replacement or two in place for Wednesday?

No chance is my guess!! But operating R/R for Porsing may well be beneficial if Huckenbeck keeps up his good form!

there is no chance of either replacements being in place simply because the meeting in Monday as you say - and our next meeting is Wednesday to make a change I think I'm right in saying it has to be 72 hours before the meeting so it will be a guest at 7 and r/r for Porsing

I am sure I read somewhere that although bthe meeting is Monday the new averages don't take effect until 7 days after.

that could well be the case I don't no on that one but there definitely won't be new faces this coming Wednesday that's for sure . Edited by Haza

I can't see that many (if any) riders will come on the market after Monday we are not the only club wanting to straighten up. the only thing is we must have a No 7. and if we dump Porsing he will be be snapped up quite quickly.

Porsing is injured and one thing we can't do is wait on him to be fit again unless it's within a week or so if we wait it will be too late - we need to act and replace him .

Would that be a bad thing ?..... Porsing has disappointed so much... Loads of potential but little or no improvement. . His scores are no better now than they were 4 yrs ago. Of all Lynn riders, he is the one who's average has dropped the most. Probably a change will do him good. If he can't score good points on the Lynn track its time for him to go.

Exactly correct.

As far as I'm concerned Porsing can go score 15 point maximums for someone else.

The point is he struggles to score 4 for King's Lynn, that ain't good enough.

Once Huckenbeck goes into the top 5, only having 4 rides we'll get really found out home and away.

If u ditch porsing surely you do it before averages change. As can't think of better options on a sub 5 average

You would of thought so if you were a promotion with a screwed on head but no, they're looking at their options when the averages change

The NEXT step that the Lynn promotion take is a vital one if they are to hold the confidence of the fans in terms of falling attendances. You can't go on as you are with "hope in your heart" that positive changes will be made. IS it on Monday that the averages change and come into effect OR is it 7 days later? Why haven't the BSPA made all this clear?

Nothing on the Stars web site? Goodness, what a surprise!

the website is absolutely the last place to look - your better off looking on Facebook or Twitter- Lynn website a waste of space and has been now for a few seasons. What's needed is a PR man/woman

The BSPA haven't got it clear in their own minds yet. So there's no chance of them making it clear for anyone else. They are are useless bunch of prats who couldn't organise a piss up at a brewery.

I honestly thought a new chairman would change that. Maybe things have got better but how would we know, if there is a lack of PR fans are only left to assume the worst.

Lynn website is updated by a company connected or owned I'm not sure which by Nigel Pearson I guess the club can't employ a full time PR man / woman but surely it's part of promoting a speedway club keeping the fan base up to date with all things to do with the team fixtures line ups ? We are 3 days away form the next home meeting I'd have thought the club would be by now advertising the meeting on social media but no nothing till Tuesday afternoon normally- that's not promoting the club . If KL and speedway in general don't start working at trying to attract new and old fans I think the end will come and soon you only have to look at the age of speedway fans it's getting an older persons sport . We all keep saying it things need to change not just at KL but U.K. Speedway in general, but nothing ever changes, Maybe it's too late ?

When Buster was appointed BSPA chairman I had high hopes things would get better. Sadly nothing has changed the rules of british speedway are too complicated and no one understands them. And to cap it all the BSPA are allowing Rory Schlien to ride in the British final.
