waytogo28
Of course that is the promotion's prerogative - he who pays the piper etc and fans have to like it or lump it. Fingers crossed he scores his average at home, as he is capable of that.
tellboy
he's a world class rider to the Lynn promotion though!!! Who was you expecting to get on a 3.31 average or lower,Hancock,Woffy,Magic.I'm afraid only the likes of Lee Payne,Olly Greenwood and DanHalsey are available on that average.
Trees
He scored well for us last season, no reason he shouldn't this, I'm glad he's back ....

Najjer
 And Simon should still be 5.25. Somerset when making their changes had to use season starting averages building to 50. It doesn't make sense how this has been allowed to go through. The Championship have new average, whereas the Premier League don't. Somerset signed Lewis Kerr on his new Scunthorpe average and not the average that Poole had previously signed him on. Tungate currently is still on 9+ Edited May 28, 2017 by Najjer

Well if he was to make a comeback then, his average would fit.Didn't realise he had retired but his average is still on the list for 2017 team building. foreverblue
From what i have seen of Simon Lambert a much better rider that Bailey so a good move. Seemed to have started the season slowly but very capable of winning heat2 especially at home.
mrss
I'm with Trees on this. I am also happy to see Simon Lambert back at reserve in the Stars team. Hopefully the team will kick on now and give the fans something to shout about.
Haza
Lambert will do better than Bailey that's for sure but will the signing make other team sit up and take notice ? I'm afraid not probably the most uninspiring signing of the season so far . That said hope he proves me wrong .
Bagpuss
I couldn't care less if he makes people 'sit up and take notice' or not, it's all about scoring a few points each week and helping the team. The season is going reasonably well so far and this should improve things a little bit more, especially at home.
pubichair
So signing a championship rider who's got an average of like 2 is going to make us win the league afraid not! Yes Maybe he will do better at home than bailey was but away he will be just as bad! Edited May 28, 2017 by hair
tellboy
Still waiting to see you name a rider on 3.31 or less that you think will be lots better. Come on hair who do you think? Edited May 28, 2017 by tellboy

Panthers89
Lambert is the best rider you could of signed. He's been abysmal this season but he can't get any worse. He will still score a few points a night and will get his average which is better than Josh, let's be honest

pubichair
I'm entitled to an opinion as any of you fans are! And my opinion is that he's a rubbish rider always has been and always will be!

Yes Maybe he will do better at home than bailey was but away he will be just as bad! Â Cant believe your philosophy about a No 7. He is a rider destined by the worse average. and would not be expected to beat heat leaders. But he is more than capable of scoring points in reserve races and that something we have been missing with Bailey. All riders points scoring ability is of equal importance. Every point our rider scores then that equates to double because the opponent rider cannot secure the same point. If a reserve scores nil her is of little use, but if he scores 4 pts that actually equate to 8 , because that 4 pts the opposition cant score...... Â So the few points Lambert scores will be worth far more than we do at present.....
