King's Lynn Stars 2017

Recommended Posts

Do I sense Poole fans are a little worried ?why are so many Poole fans so interested in what Kings Lynn are up to ?All of a sudden the Stars have never had so many new fans .

Because you are signing a Poole Legend. We are not scared KK is lightning around Kings Lynn and Andersen will give Lambert a good go and it will be day to day. Holder is exactly the same as Lambert in terms of level according to u21 championship results pretty much.

Stop moaning about the Bournemouth Echo breaking the C. Holder news.

If it wasnt for our great team and the legend that is Matt Ford then the Stars wouldnt even be competitive next season.

You should be thanking us for lending you Chris for a year instead of going on another anti-Poole hate campaign.

Ford couldn't stop Chris once he didn't use him.

Don't think there are to many,it's just one that keeps coming on here spouting rubbish. It's that, that makes it feels there are so many commenting on here.

i was wondering if each Wednesday - Buster puts on a very SPECIAL coach from Doreset to the Ardrian Flux Arena to transport those who want to watch the Stars . And they say speedway is in decline lol

Why is it unfair?? So Poole announce it first. Big whoop. It's hilarious that a BV and a Wolves fan are offended by it but no KL fans are!! Lol.

It's because we don't get sucked in by your clubs trolls like other clubs forum members seem to (not including you in that by the way :t: )

The Kings Lynn thread taking over by the usual Poole trolls. Isn't it funny that when you post on a Poole thread they tell you to go back to your own teams thread! What a bunch of hypocrites! They just worried that Lynn look stronger than Poole and feel the need to troll. Starman you have proved on this thread what a grade one t0sser you are

Really, really poor taste for the Echo to blurt it out the day before a supporters meeting.

So just the number seven to be revealed then, hope its young Josh as there's nothing quite like seeing homegrown talent graduate to the first team. Also don't understand the calls for Hansen to be in the team, was pretty ordinary for Coventry last time he rode EL and Rose deserves his spot for his efforts last year.

EDIT

Has the Holder story been pulled? The link to the Echo story earlier in the thread draws a blank when clicked.....

Surprised by this Lisa. Your one of the decent fans but to see there is nothing wrong with what the echo did beggars belief. Especially when he was being announced face to face with the crowd at a fans evening. That makes it worse. And I don't mean holder will be there. Just that Rob lyon will tell the stars fans face to face

Struggling to see the problem. Hardly seems unreasonable for the local Poole paper to run a story about their top rider for the last several years. It's not like they announced the whole team.

The only Kings Lynn fans who are going to see this are the ones on this forum and it has been openly speculated about on here for weeks.

Nobody seemed all that bothered about Potsing giving out two other team members names. If Kings Lynn wanted to release everything themselves they probably should have started a bit earlier than December 16th. With all the social media and web sites around now, it's not realistic to expect to be able to set your own timetable for news to get out.

Rose and Lambert were pretty obvious signings, club assets and rode last year. That said I'm sure Porsing will get a clip round the lughole for his faux pas.

Holder however is the marquee signing and new number one. Wouldn't be so bad if they had run the story at the start of the week but to do it the day before the official announcement is pretty poor. Probably ties in with AFC Bournemouth coverage but it's a massive two fingers up to a speedway promotion and confirms that many journalists are up there with many taxi drivers as the biggest plonkers we have to put up with in life (IMO of course).

Having slept on this I find it difficult to understand the logic of releasing this story 48 hrs early. Surely the paper story would have had just as much input had it been released on Saturday. But the main aim here is to undermine the Kings Lynn announcement to their fans at their forum on Friday night. I wonder where the paper got the story from, and who was aware of the Lynn announcement, and who would have thought about the impact by releasing the story a day early, and all roads lead back to Sir Matt Ford. What a pathetic little man he really is. Stealing another promoter's thunder is criminal, but it shows what sort of small minded person he really is. Its not as if he would benefit anything from it

I've always thought that Matt Ford is a selfish individual who care for nothing but himself. At a time when we should all be pulling together, he would tread on whoever just to have his own way. What he has shown everyone with this manoeuvre is how untrusting person he actually is.

I don't wish to stoop as low as his level, but I hope one day he get's his come-uppence. He really deserves it.....

While I agree that Lord Ford deserves an almighty comeuppance one day on this occasion I don't think he is to blame, no doubt the journalist has been sitting on the information for days if not weeks. In the papers defence tomorrow wouldn't be ideal with AFC Bournemouth playing (you know what the EDP is like when Norwich are in action) but not sure why it couldn't wait til next week. Everybody who cares had a good idea it was going to happen anyway so it would have been good etiquette for what is a minority sport for the signing club to 'break' the news officially.

Anyway it is what it is and I'm really pleased with the team whoever is at number seven.

I had thought along those lines, but surely had this journalist had this story, he would have posted it long along and caused a much bigger surprise. The story would have been the main point, not timing of leaking information on a club 200 plus miles away....

Same can be said of the wee story leaking that Lynn were the only team to make inquiries of Chris Holder. No this was premeditated, with only one intention to spoil Lynn's announcement..

What small minded people we are talking about....

Why does it matter one little bit? It's a newspaper announcing the signing of a rider 1 day early. Ohhhh big deal! It's not like a newspaper to gossip is it?! Why would they do such a thing? Do you think it's Matt Ford trying to get one over on Lynn? Or I wonder if it's because it's back page news and will likely result in a few extra people buying their newspaper? Or a few more visitors to their website increasing their ad revenue (what with them being a business and all)?

It's a good thing speedway isn't mainstream isn't it. There'd be a lot of grizzling supporters here with the way celebrity sportspeople are reported upon.
