Star Lady
According to Rory's Twitter feed, he has already signed his first contract for 2017 and has pencilled in the first meeting. He doesn't say which club though, or even if it is in the UK? SteveLyric2
Rory - if fully fit - on an adjusted average of 7.17 (EL 5.12) would be a steal for many clubs. Similar bracket to Batch!!
tellboy
Maybe the little creature at the end of the tweet is a clue Will he double up i wonder with a premiership side,as it looks like it could be a championship side he may have signed for. Col
Some reports are suggesting only 2 double - uppers per team. Could be a bit of a problem for us if true  King Lambert Rose Kerr Bailey  That's 5 I'm sure will want to be in both leagues  I know it must be a tidy earner, but I would question the usefulness of Lambert doubling up, rather than ride for Kings Lynn & a Championship team he would be better off trying to get some experience racing in the Swedish & Polist leagues, even if only in their second tier. waiheke1
Is there still a rule that for team building purposes British riders lose a point from their averages, if this is true then Lamberts average would be down to 7.76 makes signing a few Brits very temptingNo. Not for many years. Lambert is still a bargain on his average.

King would be riding for Ipswich if Thursday's  Not a bad team with the weaker limit. No real number 1 though

If he's signed and we remain a Thursday track it's Ipswich that miss out, not us I'm struggling to put a side together if only 2 double up riders are allowed
A ORLOV
Â Â I'm struggling to put a side together if only 2 double up riders are allowed I think a few clubs will be having the same problem, with riders needing to make a decent living. Look at Kerr, Adrian, Shamak and Batchelor  Is it confirmed that only 2 D/U riders are allowed in a team? If so that's going to be really hard for team building, esp when 2 Brits must be included and most teams need low average riders due to points limit. Bagpuss
Has the two double uppers rule been confirmed yet? Would mean a minimum of 115 riders being required across the two leagues, is that realistic ?
Bees_Man
Even if it's two DU's. I can see a BSPA rule change coming as it's impossible to implement. For the supporter this season I think they'll be more R/R than ever which is bad news. For me that one of the big negatives in current British Speedway.

Cannot confirm anything official but a lot seem to think it is the case, someone needs to ask one of the team managers or owners. I cannot see only two being viable. g13webb
Does anyone know if Buster is planning a 'Supporters Meeting' like we once use to have? These last couple of years the connection and organisation for the fans has been forgotten. Was I hoping too much, expecting to get back to that level...... Â Was this another JC idea that has fell by the wayside?........ Not only was it a good night, but I imagine, a decent earner from the bar takings as well....... Come to think about it, most would pay a fiver for a night at the club anyway.....
