Monday 12th At 7.30pm Newcastle Diamonds V Workington Comets Premier League

At least that's the pain over for another year, marginal improvement on last season being as we've actually won a match away this time but this meeting was never going to be anything other than a getting it out of the way excercise?

Poor shows by Hansen/Vissing, Campton's was to be expected but that's awful reading, wheelie's a hundred yds back so, you could very well be right J, Goodnight Vienna from me, wonder if he'll show on Saturday after that?

Still have a couple of attractive looking matches at home but what will we do in them, some of our guys really look like they've turned it in for the season already, hope I'm wrong and we show what we really can do but somehow that little shamozzle I heard about on Saturday night seems to have had a bit of an adverse effect?

if you didnt batter workington , there must have been something wrong . our away record for the last two years says it all .

campton doing wheelies is his way of saying goodbye to the uk , FOREVER .

And to think Workington actually gave us money for him what were they thinking.

You guys never go to away meetings? Campton, Wells and Jensen all done it at Berwick a few weeks ago, funnily enough though they didn't do it on the Sky meeting

I've got an excuse.... I'm on the run, as for the rest of your post you've stated and answered the enigma that is Workington Speedway?? ;)

Newcastles relentless drive to finish second is deeply worrying for Glesga. I really don't want us to be in the quarters this year. Hopefully Ipswich can keep them at bay with the backing of the massif!!!

They look like the team that along with Sheffield I thought were the best bets for the league. But good to see Rene getting round in good style.

Great performance at home yet again, none of our top 5 (out of 6) could be faulted. Robert back to form, Ashley clearly a fine signing (regardless of whether he can or cannot replace the irreplaceable Lewis Rose), Rene was 'Bach', Ludvig and Matej both giving solid home heat leader performances. Pavlova has done a super job in replacing the irreplaceable Tero Aarnio, so it was a great performance to win without Victor. Danny got on the scoreboard with a hard overtake; at times he fell back after challenging riders who then locked up in front of him. I agree with Ludvig's post-match interview comments; Danny is losing out at the gates. If he could gate reasonably well, he's already looking at a substantial improvement...
