Dandelion
Sorry but this post is not relevant to this thread. Maybe he wanted Fisher back at Peterborough?
New era Panthers
Maybe he wanted Fisher back at Peterborough? No thanks we've been there done that already and I think he's made the correct decision to retire. I wish him well for the future.

Flappy
And who's paying for the wages of these riders? We could afford Cook, Bjerre, Thomsen etc they don't come cheap. At no point since Ged took over has he said the club is not living within its means
LagutaRacingFan
We had Bjerre/Thomsen for a few matches. I'm sure even Peterborough United could afford the wages of Messi for a couple of weeks.

What's that got to do with the price of fish.

Build a team people want to watch on a consistent race night and if marketed properly people will come Nobody knows if we will have a team yet Judging by the official FB I'd say we have a team. Lukas
Just cant see Batchelor stooping low enough to ride PL not with his ego anyway.I hope he don't as I can't stick him.
screm
I hope he don't as I can't stick him. Giving some of his performances for Kings Lynn this year I`d be surprised if any EL club gave him a job, and Batchelor`s ego wouldn't let him ride in the PL. Like you he isn't exactly one of my favourite riders.

Flappy
I havn't seen anything concrete, has anybody made a statement to actually say we are up and running or are you just reading between the lines Nobody has actually said those words but many not so subtle hints. No club can expect to thrive with this kind of uncertainty at the end of each and every season. It's actually getting rather ridiculous that every winter starts with will there or won't there be a panthers side. Stability is needed

Stability is needed No chance of that when the life expectancy of a promoter at the Arena Bank is a couple of years; or less if it's the supremo! When Frost/Mahoney walked then any chance of stabilty went AWOL as well.

Stability is needed Agree with you about stability, and it did look as though Ged was going to purchase the rights of promoting from Rick Frost at one stage when he said everything was being geared up for a buyout at the end of the season however now that he's having second thoughts as things havn't gone as planned we find ourselves back in the same old situation again . Until Ged decides what his intentions are.So unfortunately it's a case of wait and see like it or like it not.
scoobydoo
If Geds changing his mind now on purchasing the club outright will be interesting what Rick & Julies take on all this is , they must of been thinking they had found someone at last to take it off there hands and at the sametime think its going to someone who cares about Peterborough speedway. Now it could be a case of here we go again and no doubt they could just walk away now and let the Panthers die.
shazza
Lets just hope what Ged said was out of disappointment and frustration of not getting into the play offs because him and Lisa are the best things that have happened to Peterborough Speedway for a long time.

I think that they cared or they wouldn't have bought it in 2008 or wasted their time and money for 5 somehow potless seasons. They just didn't seem to get the fan side of it quite as much as GR does, that's all, and let Bratters go who would have continued to bridge that gap for them. The current silence is very much in keeping with previous seasons though as Rodders would no doubt confirm so it's a bit same as tbh.
