New era Panthers
I m a ully fan but with another poor showing I m afraid its time to get rid and as for hall just what I expected Ostergaard on facebook bemoaning his bad luck of chain snapping in heat 14 , so what bad luck did he have in the other 3 races.
Lukas
Starkes performances are dropping off I don't like to single people out but Ulrich has been a let down this season though I don't doubt his effort. Starke has not pulled up any trees either..and with Hall and Bacon at reserve it's not a recipe for success so if no changes are made we won't win anything..Fact. I also feel for Ged as I know how much he wants success...as do we all but it's all doom n gloom. Edited June 22, 2017 by Lukas

Lukas
That's a little bit over the top..easy to give it the big un now with all that hindsight.
crazyb
Holder has been superb, Wilson-Dean and Starke have been good signings, but the least said about the rest the better. Never looked like a play off team when it was announced, and still doesn't. Ged, its 2017 not 2006... Like I said before the start of the season, they would struggle to finish bottom, and but for Berwick and possibly Scunthorpe that's where they deserve to be

Crump99
"Best to stick him at No.2 if he stays at least you know Harris has a good chance of sharing the Heat when Ostergaard runs last places for fun." The way Harris gates from 3 or 4 he'd be lucky to beat Ostrich on a fresh strip when the under fire skipper still isn't slow.
stevehone
I'd like Ostergaard at number 2 but think it would be madness to pair him with Harris, 2 riders that want the same part of the track is asking for trouble. Would like to see Bradley at 4 though
New era Panthers
Ostergaard 7 points from 8 rides against a play-off team over two legs in the last few days. The guys who was signed as a No.5 can't even do a job at No.4 and Hansen got the sack because he was thrown into the No.5 position when Hansen is a No.3 Ostergaard has been protected all season long by riding at No.4 and its just become a joke now. Best to stick him at No.2 if he stays at least you know Harris has a good chance of sharing the Heat when Ostergaard runs last places for fun. So disappointed the options Peterborough had over the winter and Ged said he turned down 20 odd riders. And yet we have Hall and Ostergaard in the team. Hall has been sacked more times in the last 2 years then other riders have in their entire careers. Ostergaard would've been sacked by any other club by now. You can't build teams on sentiment. 7.14 average was Ostergaard and you look at riders on similar or lower averages. E. Riss, R. Schlein, L. Bjerre, K. Howarth to name a few who are all improving their averages Even though it doesn't matter now but S. Lambert was a terrible signing as well 5.25 average which was always going to drop 42.00 limit and Ged used 12.39 of that on riders who were never going to maintain their averages. The point is are the management going to do anything about these repeated weaknesses in the team or are they just going to paper over the cracks and hope it will go away with a win against Berwick tonight , whatever happens tonight season will be at an end on Sunday after another home defeat at the hands of Glasgow.

I agree with all that - with one exception: I'm not so sure a Harris + Ostergaard pairing would be a good idea. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but even before the season started many fans had doubts about Lambert & Ostergaard. It's hard to be critical of Ged, but he got this very wrong - and for the 'wrong' reasons. And I was staggered to hear that we'd signed Richard Hall - again. We might as well have phoned Henning Bager! Edited June 24, 2017 by PE7Panther

Whichever way you look at it the league season is over for Panthers and if you need anymore proof wait till after the result of tomorrows meeting with Glasgow to confirm and show us how far behind in team building we are compared to those in the upper positions. Whilst I don't disagree with you, I do think we need to bear in mind that at least we still have a speedway team at the EoES - and that's down to Ged's involvement. So I'm prepared to cut him some slack. Win or lose, I'm looking forward to tomorrow's meeting. Hope the forecast rain doesn't cause a postponement :-/

Lukas
Its a shame because he can ride but Hall has shown he is not really gonna take this opportunity. Cant gate,No speed and doesn't appear to have that much desire..any other options before the big one against the Bitches next Sunday? Lukas
I hope Panthers are not seriously considering going ahead with the fixture against Ippo with potentially 5 top riders missing.. Edited June 25, 2017 by Lukas
