Peterborough Panthers 2017

Don't know how many more times, but they both won't fit. Tungate is currently 9 plus and Ellis 8 ish or at least use their current average x 1.4

Tungate has an ave. of 5.09 after 4h &4a, Ellis has 3.23 after 3h & 5a, but after Monday Ellis should have done 4h, so as long as he doesn't score loads, it should remain thereabouts,,,, so i'm thinking thats how it works.

so the new averages work for both leagues, and inflated averages were for team building only,

Peetabra have not done to too well recently with team building, so should maybe go back to stickle-bricks ;)

...a Scotsman and and an Ippo Bitch feeling sorry for themselves makes me even happier😁...good work Ged👍 you've made the perfect move(aslong as Poland doesn't come first) . Sad to see Hansen go but it's a numbers game and something had to give.

Certainly should at Peterborough, he loves the track and rides it very well.

Hopefully we give him the grip he needs like Edinburgh did last night (6 fingers and tractors take note of the Armdale home track doctoring, you'd have called that a ploughed field at the EoES  ) because if he still can't make consistent starts then chasing isn't much fun backing it up Lakeside style trying to go forwards. Good to see some positive action from Rathbone though. I'm not sure why underperforming riders get upset when replaced. They know the score, unless they have assurances that we're not privy to of course.

So if Peterborough can afford this team why are they not in the top flight?

Because we cocked up the team selection over the winter again. They said that they wanted to earn promotion so over to them once the other changes have been made next week.

Crowds are the biggest they've been for many years.

Feeling sorry for myself?

Where on earth do you get that from?

We're sitting pretty at the top of the table in case you hadn't noticed.

And as for doctoring the track, you should apply to get on Comedy Club. Though I suppose since it's Doc Bridgett that does the track maybe that counts as doctoring. The track has been as slick as hell all season mainly due to the weather but yesterday the sun shone on the righteous and Doc was able to get the track back to normal.

Rarely venture in these parts but it makes interesting reading.

Because we chose not to go there allegedly but getting back their under our own steam is the objective. Unless we get another Frost then I can't see that happening although our sponsors could give him a run for his money apparently, so who knows? That might give a pointer to the answer, but then again it might not?

If the club can't afford to run top flight speedway, why are they attempting to run with a team which looks now like it would cost top flight wages?

With Kings Lynn, Leicester and Wolverhampton close by and Rye House not far away, it would make sense for them to move back up.

But Saturdays and Sundays would be off the menu. Can they make it pay on a Friday night?

Crowds are the biggest they've been for many years.

Pleased to read this.

Personally I don't believe fans who were not at a meeting can make comments about how good or bad a track surface was , the only ones who will know are those who attended so ,maybe it was good or maybe it was not who knows.

Wages are only part of the problem, if they are problem at all. The running problems at the EoES are well known and documented over the last 15 years and they are not improving or going to improve in the future. Generally we have to run when able. I'm not a fan of the lower league or Sunday speedway, although looking at some of the dross (with all due respect to those riders and tracks!) in the other league, it's about top flight as the Elite league was Elite. However, I can see the overall bigger picture. With crowds looking pretty decent lately, would visitors from Wolves and the three mickey mouse sides make up for the Sunday day trippers? I doubt it so it is what it is at the moment.

They can go by what they read though (from the Edinburgh website btw  )

it was expected that Panthers would push Monarchs close, but two things happened to make such predictions wrong:

1. The Parsons Peebles Monarchs lifted their game on a track they were very happy with – much more grippy.

2. The Panthers enjoyed no luck at all on a track some of them were not happy with – too much grip.

Heavens NEP you talk so much sense nowadays!!

It's very refreshing in amongst the drivel from others!!

Don't put yourself down :D

Well a track to suit the home team this may catch on .

Now i have never been known to stick up for the other mob along the M8 in-fact this may be a first but surely all tracks are if possible prepared to suit all home teams.

It is then up to the away team to adapt to the track and try better not bitch about it after the fact.
