Indeed - make it up on the hoof.

Might as well have different conversion rates for different riders too.

Exactly , why cant we ever have clear cut rules and transparency to cover for every eventuality ? There's always this making it up as we go along scenario .

Its quite simple and had been stated on here what it should be within about 2 mins of the new average set up being announced.....

1.25 shouldve been set in the regs from the outset.

Now there will accusations as to who has influenced the decision to suit themselves once the changes start - particularly if the conversation rate is different to the obvious.

There will be no official conversion rate until end of May as that is when all the Prem teams will have completed 4H 4A, but I have been analysing scores of riders who ride in both leagues in the team (ie not at reserve), this is currently 16 riders!!! the conversion rate will be considerably lower than 1.4 and I believe until that rate is confirmed no rider will be able to have a converted average.

so if a team in the CL want to sign Tungate they have to wait 3 weeks whilst the BSPA play with their abacus

No chance of Ostergaard being replaced with Ged being his main sponsor and basically his love child

Sentiments should now be put aside time to do what's right for the team and to keep supporters happy , support has held up well so far but unless some action is taken i can see support dwindling away and the only ones attending will be the die hards and season ticket holders.

As subtle as a cosh but know what you mean, reminds one of Kenneth Bjerre, that cost us big time, especially 2012.

or can he be signed on his current average ?

it states noone can be signed on converted avergae before end of may but as the averages were same for both leagues at start of season are they still the same before they work out a conversion ?

if there are no converted averages used then it will be his 2016 2nd tier figure of 9.03 would be my guess.

But it is just that - a guess - and it shoukdnt need to be

Which is wrong.

Not really. It's his choice how he runs it and who with. Frost realised too late that he'd been going to a dead end year on year. Hopefully Rathbone doesn't follow suit.
