Flappy
Lambert was a lot better tonight. We had no top end strength, and 2 riders go unbeaten. What do you want ffs! Funny scenes with Robert in 15 lol Our own riders to go unbeaten would be nice. This side was built not to lose at home....

Never going to beat that Newcastle side with Shanes score at reserve. Take 7 points off for what Phillips would of scored there is your win

Baldyman
I like a comment on the updates that says lambert refuses to move off the inside. Was overtaken by both diamonds riders. You should defo keep hold of Lambert for as long as you can though, it helps the rest of us😉
hans fan
So we're simply not good enough. No chance of top 4Johnson & co can put as much positive spin over the public address as they like but the bare facts are holder starke B.W.D have done well the rest haven't , unless there gonna change anything they'll come way short of the play offs ,it wont long before home defeats become the norm when B.W.D go's in the main body ,bacon did alright tonight tho
Tsunami
Pleased with that result, and with a labouring Ludde. Always strange to see a team that is so good on a tight technical track, can also score well and win on a great fast speedway with massive bends. Any riders sacked yet and has the new team been announced yet.
TheScotsman
No surprise at the defeat tonight. Would have been another one last week if the Riss boys had been in town. Hansen & oystercard have been poor.

hans fan
Never going to beat that Newcastle side with Shanes score at reserve. Take 7 points off for what Phillips would of scored there is your winno way !!! lambert was poor (no doubt people will say he improved) was passed nearly all his races , Hansen and oystercard were poor that's why panthers got beat , starke holder and Wilson dean haven't had a bad meeting all season , the usual suspects do have bad 1s , suspect they'll thrash the bandits home should win away at bandit country get thrashed at Newcastle (no doubt they'll blame track) ,and they'll try and put a positive spin on everything Edited May 13, 2017 by hans fan

Flappy
Where's the home track advantage gone? As I put on the other thread, teams used to fear coming to the showground on a deep and grippy track.

Did you not see what happened at Ipswich when the panthers riders faced a bit of grip?
Panther1997
Ostergaard was a poor signing. Hansen should have been signed as a No.3 not a No.5 Lambert just isn't doing anything and is only in the team because of the family ties. Ged has let sentiment take control this year. Couldn't agree more! Easy options were taken when building the team! Edited May 13, 2017 by Panther1997
scoobydoo
Said this Panthers team was poor. Relying on BWD too much. Ostergaard was a poor signing. Hansen should have been signed as a No.3 not a No.5 Lambert just isn't doing anything and is only in the team because of the family ties. Ged has let sentiment take control this year. Much of what you say is true in hindsight but promoters dont have the crystal balls to see into the future, the Hansen of last year at the showground isnt nowhere the 2017 version , maybe Simon has lost his edge after his crash last year ,Ulrich was a dammed if you do dammed if you dont toss up what the 2017 version would be overall things havnt gone so well but the same can be said for many other teams even the witches have been poor on there travels at times for such a favoured team. Could have used Hopwood but you chose not to.I wonder why. No surprise at the defeat tonight. Would have been another one last week if the Riss boys had been in town. Hansen & oystercard have been poor. I have to agree with you on that certain fans keep pointing the finger at Bacon and S Lambert all the time who are support riders and forget that Hansen and Ostergaard are heatleaders and supposed to win most of there races or at least a reasonable percentage . Unfortunately we haven't got a skipper who leads from the front to be quite honest he's been piss poor for too long now.

Ostergaard should never have been signed and that was said over the winter by many. Signed because he's friends with the promotion it seems. He's also riding in the easier number 4 position. Lambert shouldn't never have been signed on an inflated average especially after a long injury lay off. Bacon tbf we were all happy with this signing as out 2 pointer but has struggled. He needs to score 3 points a meeting Imo. Well done on winning heat 2 BTW. Hansen was the signing we all pretty much demanded due to his form when guesting for us last year, however so far he's a pale shadow of that rider and is never a number 5. As has been mentioned elsewhere Holder, Starke and BWD are more than doing their jobs and simply aren't getting the support.
Lukas
Have to say now that there have been enough meetings to see that this Panthers team will win nothing this season unless changes are made.

Not an attempt to gloat as you put it, just a reminder that we were the visitors last year when Ged sacked 2 riders mid meeting. I am sure you remember that. A good team manager chooses the best available riders for a guest within the rules. Shanes was NOT a ringer and has been used as a guest by others before this meeting. Could have chose Hopwood, but there could easily be a perfect good reason why he was registered for today instead of yesterday. That's what good Team Managers do.

The rest got 2, 6, 5, 0: hardly call that scoring well. Couldn't agree more! Easy options were taken when building the team! I'd say that we took the options that we could afford. People can't applaud financial security but then complain that they haven't got a guaranteed no1 and the like.
