Peterborough Panthers 2017

Wow - I'm astounded!!

I thought Hall was at least 10 years older than 32!!

But he's spent £1000 on his equipment so that's all good.

Lets be honest £1000 these days is a new set of wheels, some covers & if you are lucky there might be some change for some new clutch plates. I know you would miss a grand if you lost it but in speedway terms its not a lot of money.

i dont know why some fans knock him . on his day he could put a good few heatleaders to shame . great at worky in the early days . the fences on the bends were never safe when he was around ..

could very easily find a wee bit of form and then cats will be puuurrrring `!

But when was his last day jenga?

And how many teams have dropped him in the last 2/3 seasons??

Redcar / Sheffield / Panters / Berwick / any others?

Yes he scored ok at Berwick so maybe he can get that form back.................. or maybe not.

Admire him for keeping coming back for more though.

His last day was in the Grand Final in 2006 and that line is always mentioned when he signs for a team especially Peterborough. That was 11 years ago and he just doesn't cut it anymore, hence why he keeps getting dropped and doesn't last a season at any club.

Thats one of the strange quirks of speedway - rider does well and all of a sudden no teams wants to take the risk on a high average.

Yet when a rider does poorly they are seen as a bargain average and at least initially in demand.

Hall has probably had too many poor showings now to still be in that 2nd category but there will still be that nagging thought in fans heads - "he could smash his average if he can find a bit of form"

Could go either way.

Spot on as has been mentioned previously Lambert on a 3 would be a hot property

Older riders on that " bargain average " are usually on that " bargain average " for a reason
