Apparently it depends on the kind of surgery he has.

Other than Carr and Hall I can't think of any other available 3 pointers especially now the conversion rate has changed for foreign riders.

Even if you could get a 3 point foreign rider would you want to gamble on it after the experiences we had last season with AWOL Holub . There are very few options out there but Carr looks about the best choice . As for Simon if he has to sit out the remainder of the season , he will be hot property on a bargain 3 point average for next year but I hope it doesn't come to that and we see him back in the red and black before too long and i'd like to wish him a speedy recovery.

A bit of a curve ball here but what about the old guard on 28 day deals in Paul Hurry / Jon Armstrong?

Plenty of experience in those two but not sure about there ambitions to race at Championship level maybe they both race for the fun of it these days and wouldn't be up for it probably out of there comfort zone.

Bacon banged in 17 points for Birmingham last night..he looks like he really is turning things around...Carr got 4. I think we need to be ruthless and make 2 changes to get 2 good riders rather than just stick a 3 point ringer in.

How can you make 2 changes though..... say you take out Ully and Lambert 9.33 together, you then have to take off 1.76 to get back down to 40.00. Your then left with 7.57 to get 2 riders in, so how the hell does that strengthen anything!

Even taking Starke out at his new average of 7.27 + 3.00 for Lambert is 10.27 - 1.76 = 8.51, again, even if you sign a 4.00 rider to replace Lambert, your losing Starke for a 4.51 average rider, making our tail even bigger!!

It doesn't make any sense IMO.

Like for Like change is THE ONLY WAY forward.
