Peterborough Panthers 2017

Still clear as mud, watch out your not joining Louis in the red face contest!

Seems clear to me! Let's use Danyon Hume as an example. He hasn't achieved an official average of 3 or above, so he starts the season on a 2.00. The word "minimum" hasn't been used.

No red face for me, it will be a red face for whoever tweets on behalf of SGB if it doesn't turn out to be correct.

I hope we do have a proper number 1.

every team has a proper no 1

hes the one with the higest average in the team and rides with number 1 on his back

granteed some are better than others but makes no difference if there a 10 point average or 7 there all genuine no 1's other wise they would be riding at 3 ,4 or 5

Ged said he was looking to have a strong number 1 at the recent fans forum. With Lambert Ulrich & Hansen looking to be nailed on, the bottom end looks like it could be weak, unless Ged can find another 3 pointer like Perry.

That's simple take Ulrich out. Holder would make a mockery of his average around peterborough

You don't need a No.1.

A solid team wins meetings.

No point having Cook with 2 very poor riders is their?

L. Bjerre, Hansen, S. Lambert & Ostergaard to start with. T. Kurtz and Jake Allen with a 2.00 rider at reserve.

Solid teams if they all turn up and do their job.

we had a number 1 in Cook, meetings were lost through no reserves .. as Nigel Pearson always says on Sky, a reserves points count towards the final score

**edit** we actually had 2 number 1s when Bjerre rode, but the bottom end was still missing and look how it ended

I think Flappy was referring to a out and out #1 not just somebody who would be top of the teams averages , but why do people think we have to have a stand out #1 at the expense of weaker scoring reserves , it certainly did not do Panthers any good in 2016, IMO it would be much better to have a all round team with stronger reserves.

It was a cobbled together team mid season. Edinburgh and Somerset always manage to put together strong sides that include 2-3 strong leaders

An improving Jack Holder would be an out and out number one on a bargain average imo.

Oh yes. Holder or Ostergaard is a no brainer for me

We did and if Ostergaard had turned up and the reserves had added 2-3 points it'd been a move that paid off Edited by Flappy

But it didn't pay off did it, not just Ostergaard's fault , the bottom end of the team with Holub, Hall and Halsey was unbalanced , those 3 were never going to get them out of trouble by scoring enough valuable points should any one of the top four be unfortunate with mechanical , injuries or lack of form. The bottom end of the Panthers team after they made the four changes was the weakest in the league and it did not surprise me how they struggled , Workington had gone all season without an away win when they came to the showground , I bet they couldn't believe there luck when they saw what they were up against

But having a winter to build a team instead of a few days should enable a better bottom end.

Glasgow are likely to have a team including Lawson, Worrall and summers but their bottom end will include Bewley so it can be done.

Panthers problems lost season also stemmed from getting team building wrong in the winter

With my team you will be guarenteed a high scoring reserve all season long.

Also a team of showground specialists.

Kenneth Hansen is basically an out and out No.1 around the Showground.

and no more than a good reserve or poor second string away . would be great for you at home but in the firing line away .

Holder for Ostergaard and I'd be happy aswell tbh as I think he'd make a mockery of his average around the showground.

1 Holder

2 Allen

3 Hansen

4 Kurtz

5 Bjerre

6 Lambert

7 Wajknecht

Hasnt Hansen signed for a polish team so will miss sundays?

Squad member it's seems so won't ride much if at all
