Crump99
What a little bundle of joys you are. Remind us how many times you've been to the EoES over the last decade? Edited October 13, 2016 by Crump99

Crump99
What's that got to do with anything? Depends what you're poking your nose into? It's hard to tell amongst your dross so I could have misunderstood.
New era Panthers
I wouldn't watch it for free. So with your logic it's easy to work out that if everybody took your view , then eventually there would be no speedway . No supporters = no riders = kiss of death.
Crump99
"The traditional Friday-night slot just doesn't seem to have worked for us." Which of course is different from it doesn't work. It's interesting that rather than just recognising the importance of consistency of fixtures Rathbone appears to be doing something about it and have the EoES allegedly on board to some extent. I'm sure that others tried over the last decade or more but Friday night never did once again become speedway night so I don't understand how it didn't work. It was a fragmented, haphazard. fluid fixture list in all that time. I can take or leave Sunday but can see the logic of it at the moment given our current standing. So with your logic it's easy to work out that if everybody took your view , then eventually there would be no speedway . No supporters = no riders = kiss of death. It's not logic it's preference. The product itself will decide whether it survives, not whether I like it. Another tip, I wouldn't mention kiss of death with the AGM so close, best wait to see what gems they come up with this year. maneacat
I did put about getting home around 9, that's with roughly an hour to get home included. I know there are quite a few younger children that enjoy going to the showground, there is plenty of space to run around, and usually a bouncy castle, so to have them left at home would be a shame. I have a 40/45 minute journey so not quite as long as you but would hope most weeks to be done 7pm / or 7.15 on a late one and home by 7.45/8pm - would have thought 9 o'clock for you to be the exception. Personally would have preferred a 6 or 6.30 start but I do see the problem for parents like yourself. Be interesting to know how many children attend Newcastle meetings as I believe their regular race night and time is also Sunday around 6.30/7. Equally Kings Lynn who are a week(school) night track not starting until 7.30/7.45 I believe - not been myself this season (first in years that I have not) anyone know what their child attendance is like? dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
I can certainly see why running a NL team as well is unattractive.(unfortunately) Whilst idealistically ALL teams should be doing it practically and financially it could/would be problematic at best and unworkable in many cases. Whilst Peterborough have the logistical option to run it back to back (unlike most others) IMO it would be a huge financial risk. You would only need a fraction of the normal gate to stay away if they dont wish to pay the extra and it is being run 'for free' anyway. To run as a separate entity at a higher entry fee surely wouldnt be an option either with date availabilty and also support for a 2nd lower level option not sufficient. arnieg
How is Bjerre going to ride for us? GP riders can't ride in the PL...? Can't see anything in the regulations to that effect

What would the possibility be of charging the full rate upon entry and then receiving a £3 discount on the next meeting if spectators choose to leave before the NL meeting starts? Don't know how easy that would be to administer but would keep the PL only fans attending and i suspect several will stay on to watch an extra match as its only £3......? scoobydoo
Scoobydoo and flappydoo, what a total MF My apologies to all the Panthers fans who log in expecting to read about the Panthers on this thread to find that this sort of dribble is being posted on here . Im a mid 50s guy who first went to speedway in the 70s continued to go until recent years when I stopped attending due to various reasons, it now appears that there are some who think im Morrisey Fan or one of his aliases due to the fact I showed concern at some posts directed at him Im big enough and old enough to take banter but the constant insistance that im him is just ridiculous . I expect the usual replies to this post will continue but one day hopefully someone will actually realise im not who some seem to think I am but just another person who posts an opinion about speedway. Don't let it bother you and just take it with a pinch of salt , you're not the only one who has got this kind of treatment by a long way ,whatever you post as long as it's not threatening in bad taste or crude language, you should feel free to post that's your view and I don't understand why anyone should have a problem with it..
Baldyman
No one has a problem with it, you carry on, and don't let any of us ever stop you. We have ipswich fans with multiple user names that talk to themselves. Don't take offence, give us some shiv back. It's just meant to be some bants between local rivals and I did think you were younger. Sorry. And don't worry about defending morrissey, that dude is big enough and seriously ugly enough to look after himself.
