Crump99
Good feeling for the Panthers fan's to have the stability sorted out early rather than have a another winter of if's, buts & maybes . That's very true but the stability that needs sorting out is so that the annual will we won't every winter doesn't exist. It never used to be so that at the end of each season the quote is "if we're running next year" - In this case though, as the sponsors are on board for 2 years then you'd hope that the picture is clear after the last chequered flag at the EoES in 2017. scoobydoo
Adam Ellis would be good but dont think even he would come cheap with his profile now. Josh Bates goes well at the showground Rohan Tungate has come on this season.

Panthers89
4.67 it should be. 1. Kurtz 9.22 2. Heeps 5.07 3. Hansen 6.25 4. Berge 6.91 5. Lasse 6.65 6. Shanes 3.00 7. Ellis 4.67 Would love to see that side around the EOES, and comes in under 42.00, would be great action.

Stiltonpanther
So not one from the 2016 cast list of thousands!!Simon Lambert should be back as he was having a good season and racking the points up at the Showground before he got injured.

But there's better value on similar/less averages. Riders like Todd Kurtz and Heeps have the potential to add 2 points to their averages Edited September 30, 2016 by Flappy
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Adam Ellis has been highlighted on a number of threads as the potential super signing on his 4.67 (rightly so IMO) but having not ridden PL for 2 full seasons and this year obtaining an official EL average surely he would be on a ridiculous converted figure???? Is he even under 6 in EL and elligible at all (without a rule change)

Is he even under 6 in EL and elligible at all (without a rule change) I'm sure there will be a way around the 2 year rule. Richard Hall was going to have to ride on a 59 year old average was he not?!! But Mr. Ellis is on a 5.60 EL average as of Monday (if Poole had any more meetings to race!!!) so presumably not affected by the 6 point one

TheScotsman
Indeed but that conversion rate is a joke if it applies to EL reserves the same as say an EL heat leader like Troy Batchelor. Not that he leads many heats mind you!!

Not that he leads many heats mind you!! absolutely agree although you could argue Adam spent a fair time at heat leader position as well. Also think there should be priority on Brits particularly younger/less experienced but if that means he retains his 4.67 I think it would be unfair. Dont want the PL won by the team finding the best ringer - dont want to copy the EL. The PL shouldnt be for the likes Batch Bjerre Schlein Watt etc to use on their way down.... Thats the part that needs to be addressed.
TheScotsman
Can't argue with any of that. But unfortunately it's the way of British speedway.
Flappy
The premier league should be open to all riders. No need to limit who can ride where. All brits in particular should he able to ride Simon's going nowhere whilst his dad continues to successfully attract meeting sponsors. So then we can pencil in Lambert and Ostergaard due to relationships and sponsorships? We must do what's best for the team on the track Edited September 30, 2016 by Flappy

New era Panthers
So then we can pencil in Lambert and Ostergaard due to relationships and sponsorships? We must do what's best for the team on the track Are you putting up money for sponsorships then as without these highly valued contributors there would be no speedway. looks like its starting to have a familiar look about it . Perhaps you could explain yourself and tell us just what you are talking about?
